The Opportunity:

ECI has an exciting opportunity for a Corporate Controller to join our team. Reporting directly to the CFO, the Controller is a dynamic role responsible for the day-to-day operations of all fiscal-related functions at ECI. This position ensures the success of the business by complying with all regulatory, tax and auditing requirements. The Controller manages and develops the finance department staff, creating a cohesive, organized, and accurate environment.

This is a hybrid role in New York city.

What you will do:

• Lead the accounting operations of the business

• Ensure that the company accounts are closed in a timely fashion and in accordance with GAAP

• Ensure compliance in corporate financial & tax law by following Country, Federal, State, and Local rules and regulations

• Migrate ECI to a new accounting system, e.g., Microsoft Dynamics

• Implement and maintain robust reporting and internal controls processes

• Ensures documentation of all accounting departments policies, procedures, and processes

• Preparing the business for audit and liaising with external parties

• Oversee the whole month-end process

• Consistently looking for ways to improve and streamline processes

• Building out the accounting function from a technical accounting perspective

• Training, development and mentoring of accounting professionals

• Monitors and controls cash flow and corporate expenses. Responsible for approval of all internal expense items utilizing Expensify

• Assisting with financial reports, including annual / monthly budgeting and financial planning

• Provides status of financial condition by collecting, analyzing, and reporting financial data. Responsible for monthly and quarterly lender reporting, including covenant calculations.

• Provides input for the development of short and long-term strategic financial objectives

Who you are:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, CPA preferred

• 7+ years related, progressive experience

• Private equity experience

• Comprehensive knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management best practices

• Exceptional communication and critical thinking skills

• Acute eye for detail and high working standards

• Strong knowledge of internal controls and financial reporting

• Strong ability to work cross-functionally.

Bonus points if you have:

• Combination of public/private accounting experience

• Big 4 public accounting

• Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics

• Knowledge of Great Plains

• Passion for technology and working in a fast-paced environment
