We are looking for a Corporate Communications Specialist (40 hours per week) in our Elmwood Park, NJ location.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm

Position Summary:

The Corporate Communications Specialist (CCS) is a key member of BioReference Corporate Communications team. This individual will work closely with leadership to develop and execute communications programs that inform and engage employees across the company. The CCS will also partner with members of the Media and Digital team and support internal business partners to address internal communication needs. He/she will focus on engagement and drive interest in and awareness amongst internal stakeholders on organizational change, news, information and events. This position will also oversee corporate volunteer events and campaigns from start to finish including, but not limited to: planning, logistics, legalities, communication, recruitment, fundraising, etc.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Include but are not limited to:

  • Developing and supporting various communications programs in alignment with company priorities

  • Writing, editing and proofreading content for various types of materials that adapt to a variety of audiences and formats including: company-wide email messages, online content, newsletter articles

  • Coordinating, scheduling and disseminating company-wide emails to internal audiences (i.e. organizational announcements, senior executive messages, and other internal corporate communication)

  • Supporting business partners/stakeholders on internal communications needs and providing counsel

  • Support/Service as the editor of internal Sales and Marketing newsletter including: managing content, layout and distribution

  • Developing and tracking metrics & KPI's to measure the impact of internal communications messages

  • Special projects and event coordination

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Communications, English, Journalism or a related discipline

  • 3-5 years of experience in communications and/or marketing and/or public relations roles (excluding internships)

  • Proficiency with MS Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

  • Strong researching, editing and proofreading skills including a familiarity with AP style

  • Understanding of brand awareness and positioning, and employee engagement

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task, problem solve and meet deadlines

  • Proactive and results driven

  • Availability to travel 10-20% of the time

Preferred Qualifications

  • Social Responsibility/community outreach strongly preferred

We are looking for a Technical Product Manager (40 hours per week) in our Elmwood Park, NJ location. Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9am-5:30pm POSITION SUMMARY: Design EMR/LIS products roadmap that address the needs of the clients and applications. Work closely with the IT engineering team, product owners and stakeholders to develop product specifications and design. PRINCIPAL JOB DUTIES Duties may include but are not necessarily limited to the following: * Lead EMR/LIS products through their entire lifecycle * Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables * Define project tasks and resource requirements (specify goals, schedule tasks, identify risks, plan contingencies) * Provide direction and support to project team and varying vendors * Work with the team to understand scope of new projects and identify preliminary impacts for estimation * Translate business needs into actionable documentation/specifications, including use case scenarios, models and conceptual design diagrams to support iterative development * Communicate clear information to ensure project teams understand project plans and requirements. * Conduct internal project status meetings * Prepare project status, and meeting notes; keeps management and others informed of project status * Develop and maintain project documentation using industry standard project management tools * Coordinate, motivate and follow up with all stakeholders & resources to ensure project progresses is on schedule and goals and requirements are me * Generates innovative ideas to resolve problems * Responsible for meeting or exceeding all defined target goals and milestone dates for the project in order to ensure its overall success * Liaise between Business Subject Matter Experts, Business Analysts, Engineering team and Project Management groups * Evaluate and present solutions objectively and facilitate conflict resolution * Participate in QA led test prep and planning activities, as well as defect triage to ensure projects are on track * Effectively communicate with IT and business stakeholders with varying levels of authority and responsibility * Other duties as assigned EDUCATION: * BS degree in computer science, management of information systems, or related field EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS: * 7-10 years with project management or product management in healthcare information technology * Strong planning and estimating skills * Experience using software such as JIRA, Confluence, as well as more traditional software such as Microsoft Project * Excellent organizational and time management skills * Strong communication and presentation skills (oral and written) to shape messages to the appropriate level of audience.
