ABOUT THE JOB

Tepa's Communications Manager holds a senior-level position responsible for crafting, editing, and overseeing branded communications and creative content for both internal and external audiences. Utilizing robust project management skills, the Communications Manager is tasked with spearheading Tepa-wide and Tepa Companies-specific communication initiatives, programs, and projects. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, they ensure messaging consistency and alignment with company objectives.

  • Craft, produce, and manage original, informative, and compelling content that showcases the brand, vision, mission, core values, and services offered by Tepa, LLC, and its individual companies to both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Supervise communications personnel, including interns, entry-level employees, and communications specialists, to ensure the timely, accurate, and efficient delivery of all materials.

  • Offer strategic guidance and contribute to the development of communications plans and brand-building strategies for Tepa, LLC, and the individual Tepa Companies.

  • Oversee the strategic management and effective utilization of brand assets, including brand guidelines, marketing collateral, website, social media profiles, and paid media.

  • Maintain brand consistency across all assets to enhance the brand's voice, tone, reputation, and identity.

  • Cultivate strong working relationships with subject matter experts, managers, and leadership within Tepa, LLC, its owning Tribe, and its individual companies.

  • Acquire, develop, and maintain an extensive, high-level understanding of Tepa's various business lines, including capabilities, key clientele, and points of differentiation for each.

  • Analyze complex concepts and convey them clearly and concisely to target audiences.

  • Stay informed of emerging communication trends and technologies and propose innovative approaches to reach target audiences effectively.

  • Support business development efforts for Tepa, LLC, and the individual Tepa Companies, including managing regular collateral updates, providing presentation support, and coordinating tradeshow and conference promotional materials.

  • Serve as the primary liaison for external communications vendors, managing relationships and ensuring deliverables are met.

  • Measure and analyze the effectiveness of communication efforts using appropriate metrics and feedback mechanisms.

  • Act as the main point of contact for media inquiries and provide guidance on crisis communication strategies, as well as manage communication during sensitive situations.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or similar communications-based specialty

  • 5+ years writing and producing content across media (electronic, video, print, social, etc.)

  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communications skills

  • Ability to rewrite complex content into a more user-friendly style

  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team

  • Excellent attention to detail and strong project management skills

  • Accountable and solution-driven

  • Ability to juggle multiple, competing deadlines

  • Capable of working with technical and non-technical content providers (subject matter experts)

  • Working knowledge of AP Style preferred

  • Previous experience working in the Architecture/Engineering/Construction (A/E/C) industries preferred

  • Previous experience working in the information technology industry preferred

  • Previous experience working in the federal business market preferred
