As an intern you will be onsite at Columbia Sportswear Company for 10 weeks over summer as a part of a specific department participating invarious projects and events to learn about Columbia Sportswear Company. Internswill undertake a challenging project designed to blend strategic andoperational work.

Our goal with the summer internship program is personaldevelopment and growth by contributing to some of Columbia Sportswear Company'skey initiatives.

Project Summary:

The CorporateCommunications Archive Intern will assist the Corporate Communications and

Columbia Brand Marketing teams in collecting,preserving and sharing Columbia's 81-year legacy, helping consumers, wholesalepartners and employees forge strong connections to our company history.

As the

Columbia brand design team continues to tap into our archives for inspirationand our Corporate Communications team continues to leverage our companyheritage to drive emotional connections to our company (both internally andexternally), this will be a unique opportunity to have a lasting impact on ourorganization. This project will help drive efficiencies for various businesspartners, creating a single archive location (both digital and physical).

Key responsibilities would include:

  • Researching and identifying keygarments, print advertisements, catalogs and other physical assets within thearchive.

  • Digitizing print assets andcoordinating photo shoots for key historic garments.

  • Taking inventory, preserving anddigitizing all contents of the company safe.

  • Conducting interviews to collectand document historical knowledge around key company products, marketingcampaigns and other initiatives.

  • Plan, research and draft archivecontent for history pages and blog posts on CSC's newly-planned CorporateCareer website.

  • Establishing foundationalprocesses and procedures for managing the archive going forward.


  • Juniorclass standing or entering senior year, recent graduate OR rising MBAStudent

  • Participationin school or extracurricular activities and experience in leadership roles

  • Declaredmajor in program of study that aligns with internship project

  • Abilityto communicate clearly and effectively

  • Problem-solvingskills and strong initiative

  • Team-orientedthinking with enthusiasm for continuous learning

  • Abilityto access all levels and areas of the facility

  • Relationship-buildingaptitude

Outreach campaigns work will include coordinating events, staffing the office RSVP line, participating in volunteer workshops and coordinating social media posts. * compose articles for the state website * create and coordinate social media posts * record earned media hits using internal systems * staff the RSVP line * create materials for volunteer workshops * write letters to the editor, legislative testimony and other articles for print publications * support the advocacy and outreach programs for the Maine State Office * create messaging for the Maine State Office social media sites * Intern will perform other related duties, as assigned. Requirements Interns must be currently enrolled in a degreed program at an accredited college or university; be in good academic standing; and be considered rising undergraduate juniors or seniors.
