This opportunity entails being responsible for providing mid-level technical CADD support to the business on a daily basis. This position provides technical support for all CADD software, including installation and troubleshooting. Working knowledge of Bently and Autodesk CADD applications including ProjectWise integration in a production environment. Provide support for printing and plotting within our CADD environment. Provide customer focused support to minimize TOJ disruptions by following standard, repeatable processes. Works independently with minimal guidance. What You'll Do:

  • Responds, diagnoses and resolves CADD software related issues for end users logged through ticketing system.

  • Administers and maintains ProjectWise file access and user permission groups.

  • Performs CADD software installations for new users and system updates for existing users.

  • Develops, implements and enforces CADD standards to ensure consistent use, appropriate file organization and timely sync of files across end users and offices.

  • Prioritizes and tests CADD software upgrades and issues in preparation of firm wide implementation in partnership with the project delivery office.

  • Provides basic CADD support training to field and service desk IT personnel to better assist with triaging issues reported by end users.

  • Creates issue resolution documentation for end user reference and utilization, maintains knowledge-based articles through internal documentation storage system.

  • Assists with administration and implementation of CADD workspaces and integrations with ProjectWise.

  • May support printing and plotting within our CADD environment.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need:

  • Associate Technical Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Engineering related field and 4 years of relevant experience, or

  • In lieu of degree, 6 years of experience in CADD Support and CADD Administration or relevant experience

What You'll Bring:

  • Technical Skills:

  • Advanced knowledge of Bentley and Autodesk CADD applications.

  • Experience with issue resolution, documentation, and end-user support.

  • Knowlege of Connect Editions, Microstation, OpenRoads, OpenBridge, OpenRail and ProjectWise or AutoCAD and Civil 3D and other 3rd party add on applications.

  • Familiarity with tasks such as software installation, troubleshooting, and customization.

  • Proficiency in configuring portal assignments, role-based permissions, and CADD workspace.

  • Ability to enforce CADD standards using managed and unmanaged workspaces to ensure consistent use and file organization.

  • Knowledgeable of plan production processes.

  • Responsibilities:

  • Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve moderate to complex CADD software-related issues on a diverse array of platforms and design disciplines. Serve as the point of contact for escalated CADD support issues in IT Service Management (ITSM).

  • Software Installation: Assist in software deployment, updates, and customization in collaboration with the HNTB IT Applications Operations team.

  • Software Testing: Prioritize and test software upgrades to ensure smooth implementation across the firm.

  • Standards Enforcement: Support reinforcement of CADD standards.

  • Documentation: Create end-user documentation and maintain knowledge base article through applied strong technical writing and critical thinking skills to document issue resolutions and make recommendations on procedure improvement.

  • Workspace Administration: Assist with CADD workspace support and troubleshooting.

  • Quality Assurance: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other support staff. Collaborate with the Project Delivery Office, IT Departments, Core Tech System Administrators, and other corporate Technical Support Representatives.

  • Software Inventory: Maintain a software inventory of current versions on a regular basis.

  • Additional Skills:

  • Subject Matter Expertise: Intermediate knowledge of CADD software, especially Bentley and Autodesk applications.

  • Vendor Liaison: Collaborate with CADD vendors for patches, bug fixes, and upgrades.

  • File Organization: Ensure timely synchronization of files across end users and offices.

  • Printing and Plotting: Support printing and plotting within the CADD environment.

The approximate pay range for California is $69,527.64 - $118,513.02. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to, the individual's qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as physical work location within the state.

The approximate pay range for Washington is $63,206.95 - $109,031.98. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.
