Director, Business Development - Joint Ventures and Acquisitions
BAYADA Home Health Care has an immediate opening for an experienced executive to fill the position of Director, Business Development. The Director of Business Development is accountable for the identification and prioritization of attractive potential acquisition and joint venture targets. This individual will identify targets, develop sourcing strategy, and cultivate relationships with potential targets. He or she will partner with the JV solutions team to pitch potential clients, and with the finance team to architect an offer and deal structure that works for both parties. This leader is responsible for administering work systems, procedures, and policies, and ensuring all office activities comply with company standards, relying on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals while leading and directing the work of others.
Prior experience and a successful track record of deal sourcing and transaction execution for joint venture and acquisition agreements is required. Knowledge of health systems strongly preferred.
Develop and manage strategic acquisition plan for the company. Monitor and report progress against plan.
Demonstrate ability to effectively source, evaluate, pitch, negotiate and win attractive deals in brokered and non-brokered settings.
Aggressively research, identify, and qualify potential targets. Develop access strategy to initiate contact with target.
Develop relationships with intermediaries to build pipeline of opportunities and awareness of capabilities.
Develop & maintain relationships at health system C-suites. Build relationships personally with prospective partners.
Work closely with JV Solutions, Finance, Diligence & Integration teams to lead the deal process through pitch, LOI, close, and integration.
Achieve targeted goals for number of deals closed and operating surplus contribution.
Manage and support transaction flow of strategic partnerships.
Coordinate business development activities occurring outside span of managerial control, effectively managing up, down and across the enterprise.
Liaise with and manage external advisors, consultants, and counsel.
Partner with BAYADA General Counsel to support development of transaction agreements.
Ensure development of well-qualified staff to support business development efforts.
Demonstrate and communicate the core values of BAYADA and The BAYADA Way.
Develop working knowledge of BAYADA's mission, services, people, organization, policies, and procedures.
Perform related duties or as requested by supervisor.

Four (4) year college degree, MBA preferred.
Seven (7) to ten (10) years of experience with successful track record of deal sourcing and transaction execution in investment banking, private equity, consulting, or healthcare services company.
Experience in managing transactions of varying sizes and complexity.
Ability to comfortably and effectively relate to and persuade a wide range of personalities, from business development peers to C-suite leaders.
Strong analytic and strategic planning skills.
Demonstrated record of project management, problem solving, and ability to foster interpersonal relationships.
Effectively use deliberate influence strategies to impact, shape, or re-direct the behaviors of others, without formal authority.
Financial and technical acumen in understanding needs and developing proposals.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, presentation skills, and computer skills.
Excellent organizational skills.
Ability to prioritize and multitask.
Fosters teamwork, instills accountability in team members, and promotes trust.
Acceptable pre-employment assessment results.
Ability to read, write and effectively communicate in English.
