Brief Overview of Position

The healthcare associate will assist the relationship managers in crafting and delivering comprehensive financial services solutions to our clients and prospects. They will serve as a facilitator of potential credit opportunities and be a liaison between credit administration and the line of business, ensuring consistent delivery of credit proposals to both the client and credit officer.

Responsibilities

To be successful in this role, candidates must be able to process large amounts of information and develop innovative solutions, all while maintaining a strong and efficient attention to detail. Key responsibilities include:

  • Support relationship managers in their prospecting and cross-selling efforts to grow the portfolio

  • Manage deal workflow to ensure timelines are met ahead of customer expectations

  • Work with capital markets, treasury and other bank partners to seamlessly integrate the appropriate products in our internal and client presentations

  • Train and develop analysts on financial modeling, credit underwriting, pitchbooks and other skills necessary for them to be successful

  • Lead the diligence and underwriting process on new credit opportunities

  • Present loan requests to credit officer as part of the credit approval process

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, economics or related field/experience

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in corporate, commercial or middle market banking

  • Understands fundamental analytical and credit skills with formal training from a bank, credit fund or nationally recognized credit training program

  • Ability to identify trends, risk factors and potential mitigants

  • Ability to perform financial analysis

  • Proficient in financial modeling

  • Understanding of credit agreements, intercreditor agreements and other loan documents

  • Knowledge of standard banking products

  • Ability to monitor and engage on multiple transactions at one time while prioritizing to ensure each deadline is met

  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal partners and communicate effectively with both internal and external parties of various levels

  • Ability to recognize inefficiencies in processes and recommend changes to improve internal procedures

  • Extraordinary levels of motivation and initiative

  • Effective team player who wants to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and build working relationships across the organization

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint in order to produce analysis, reports, memos and presentations

  • Ability to live and work in Dallas, TX
