  • RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Recording vendor invoices and checking that payments have been authorized

  • Comparing purchase orders to invoices and validating price extensions and sales tax calculations

  • Ability to reconcile vendor statements to invoices that are posted and authorized for payment

  • Reconciling accounts on the payables schedule that cannot be verified by a statement or invoice

  • Printing checks, obtaining signatures, and distributing payment timely

  • Assist in providing management with accounts payable estimates for cash flow purposes

  • Communicate with all vendors and answer all inquiries

  • Maintaining accounts receivable schedules and customer accounts

  • Applying payments, noting shortages, and contacting customers regarding invoices not paid

  • Communicate with management on collection difficulties, copying correspondence and charges for the manager responsible

  • Ability to reconcile accounts paid by invoice instead of statement

  • Printing an aged trial balance, mailing monthly billing statement and past due statements

  • Ability to provide new account forms to managers or customers upon request and verifying references on new account forms

  • Compute and record standard monthly journal entries

  • Balance Sheet account reconciliations

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years previous accounting experience in a corporate or office environment

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent

  • Professional personal appearance

  • Valid driver's license

RESPONSIBILITIES * Be a key contributor in coordinating the logistics for events, including vendor selection, attendee lists, registration, travel and accommodations. * Partner with marketing department to develop event and tradeshow strategy * Assist with set up, tear down and follow-up of events. * Work with accounting to calculate budgets for various events and ensure they are adhered to. * Track key performance areas for events and help identify items to work on for future events. * Ensure event timelines, action items and deadlines are all met. * Coordinate with Events Manager and Paycom's Legal Department to implement appropriate contracts for all vendors. * Develop "Run of Show" document for events and ensure it is reviewed by all appropriate parties. * Assist in creation of registration sites for various events. * Help make improvements to events based on post-event survey responses and stakeholder feedback. * Submit design requests for event artwork needs including event logos, invitations, giveaways, signage etc. Qualifications Education/Certification: * Bachelor's Degree in marketing, communications, public relations or related field. Experience Required: * Minimum five (5) years' experience in helping coordinate and/or plan incentives, conferences, tradeshows or special events. * Successfully planned and operated events with 600+ participants. * Must be skilled in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook. Skills and Abilities: * Must be able to interface at a senior executive level. * Must be able to manage external vendors always looking for maximum advantage and outcomes for Paycom. * Excellent time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills are critical. * Possess professional verbal and written communication skills. * Follow up and follow through in a timely manner. * Personalize the experience for each customer by fostering relationships, anticipating needs and exceeding expectations. * Ability to work in fast-paced environment. * Ability to communicate effectively and be a team player who works collaboratively with colleagues and management. * Ability to review and analyze a wide variety of information and recommend specific action. * Experience with Cvent, crowd compass and other event platforms is a plus. * Handle other duties as assigned.
