About the Role

The Donohoe Companies, Inc. is seeking a full-time Corporate Accounting Clerk (AP) to handle the full-cycle payable functions of hte Donohoe corporate divisions and its related real estate investement partnership entities. The Corporate Accounting Clerk is the primary owner of the invoice process, including routing and securing approvals - and, will handle daily cash receipt deposits and batch entry.

  • Facilitate accounts payable automation workflow for all Donohoe corporate payables

  • Prepare bank deposits and cash receipts; mail/distribute checks

  • Resolve payables inquiries from vendors; maintain vendor records including W-9s

  • Process vendor accounts and bank reconciliations

  • Batch entry and mail distribution of investment partnership distributions

  • Year-end 1099 preparation and reporting

As a Corporate Accounting Clerk with The Donohoe Companies, you will have significant interaction with team members outside of the Accounting division and will develop business relationships with all corporate departments, including a direct partnership with AP counterparts in operating divisions (Complete Building Services, Construction and Real Estate).

This is a non-exempt position; Reports to the Senior Accountant.

Hours are flexible between 7:00am

  • 6:00pm (1/2 hour

  • 1 hour lunch), with an 8-hour shift required.

You Should Have

  • Minimum 5 years accounting or accounts payable experience

  • Accounting/ERP system experience (Oracle/JD Edwards preferred)

  • Experience with AP automation workflow systems (Tungsten/DocuSphere or Nexus preferred)

  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly with Excel

  • Ability to work independently and make decisions regarding accounts payable matters

  • Detail oriented and deadline conscious

Requirements * B.S./B.A. in Accounting or Finance required. MS/MBA preferred. * Minimum of 7-10 years of relevant accounting work experience required. * Minimum of 2 years of public accounting experience preferred. * Minimum of 3 years of Supervisory experience preferred. * CPA strongly preferred. * Strong financial reporting and accounting skills and understanding of foreign currencies. * Strong verbal and written communication skills, particularly in working with international personnel. * Experience with Microsoft Dynamics. Expert knowledge of Excel, Word and accounting systems is required. * Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with all levels of staff. * Strong analytical abilities, organized with attention to detail. * Motivated self-starter.
