The Sponsorship & Events Manager develops global sponsorship and events strategies in alignment with corporate, region, or business unit goals to achieve business results. He/She executes the strategy and leads the development of a fully integrated activation and communications plan to drive international business results from corporate sponsorship investments. This position regularly presents to leadership.

The Sponsorship & Events Manager leads a cross-functional team to support multi-region programs, integrating Sales, International Marketing, Customer Communications, Public Relations, Employee Communications, HR / Employee Relations and Digital Experience. He/She acts as the relationship leader for UPS with sponsorship partners, and actively manages complex, multi-year contracts. This position manages others within the department.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Collaborates with Marketing and Sales teams to understand international region/district business priorities and incorporate those into sponsorship strategy and activation

  • Creates annual plans including objectives, competitive analysis, audience definition, tactics, resources, timeline, budget and deliverables) to set expectations and guide plan execution

  • Leads the development of strategic sponsorship activation plans and solutions which deliver results based on the targeted KPIs

  • Plans and executes assignments that are on strategy, on time and on budget

  • Oversees the financial aspects of the programs/platforms

  • Manages other team members

  • Tracks and reports on sponsorship return on investment (ROI)

  • Manages 3rd party agencies, guiding their efficacy and ensuring timely delivery of sponsor communications and assets

  • Understands cultural nuances in key international markets to leverage sponsorship assets appropriately

Knowledge and Skills

  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)

  • 5-7 years of relevant work experience in related areas of international sponsorship, project management, event management, or marketing

  • Proven track record assuming ownership, moving quickly to implement ideas, and delivering results and in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience with intricate and complicated timelines and program schedules

  • Demonstrated competence in managing communications, deliverables and logistics

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in fast-paced environment

  • Excellent time management, resource management, organizational, and planning skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work autonomously

  • Bachelor's Degree (or internationally comparable degree) in Advertising, Communications, Marketing or a related field - Preferred

  • Master's Degree (or internationally comparable degree) - Preferred

The Director provides leadership, direction and consultation to nursing leadership and clinical nurses regarding all nursing quality issues. She/he develops and implements programs and systems to meet the department and divisional objectives consistent with Emory Healthcare philosophy, mission, vision and strategic plan. The Corporate Director, Nursing Quality and Analytics leads a commitment to quality as defined by internal and external customers in a way that makes quality knowable and measurable. He/she works to ensure a shared sense of purpose in creating both value for the customer and the committed involvement of nursing staff at all levels. The Director provides focus on the inadequacies of work processes as a source of error, trains others in quality improvement strategies and techniques, and develops an infrastructure to give nursing staff access to the problem-solving process, removing barriers to quality, and offering freedom from fear of reprisal. The Corporate Director supports the LEAN model of quality improvement and works with senior leadership to integrate annual quality goals of EHC and key result areas with quality improvement initiatives within nursing units and departments. The Director serves as a leader and mentor within nursing and throughout the system. He/She partners with nurses, physicians, hospital executives, and leadership and managers to execute key performance improvement strategies. The Director is responsible for oversight and direction of the nursing quality program and plan within Emory Healthcare. She/he is responsible for coordinating and integrating nursing quality improvement initiatives with other departments and serves as a role model, resource and mentor for patient care staff through support and active participation in the Emory Healthcare Shared Decision Making Councils. This position is responsible for planning, developing and directing comprehensive, cross-functional, quality improvement to achieve national best practice performance levels related to evidenced based guidelines, quality metric performance improvement and quality of nursing services rendered to patients and internal/external customers while maintaining exceptional level of professionalism and customer service. The Director is a licensed nursing professional with management and leadership expertise who plans, directs, coordinates and leads the entire nursing quality function. This role has the degree of independence required to achieve operating results consistent with approved operating plans, objectives, and policies. The Director of Nursing Quality is responsible for the overall operations of the Department, including frequent engagement and collaboration with the Nursing and Medical Staff, compliance with all regulatory agencies (CMS, TJC, etc.) for all areas of responsibility. This position must have the ability to engage and influence physicians, staff, and leadership through the use of effective communication and data driven decision making. Responsible for nursing quality goal development, planning, execution and evaluation of goal achievement. Develops short, mid and long-term nursing quality goals with plans to facilitate/guide goal achievement that are consistent with the mission and values of Emory Healthcare and Emory Nursing. Involves unit staff in goal development, planning, execution, and evaluation via our shared governance structure. Revises plan based on evaluation of progress toward goals. Assists areas within department with goal development, planning, execution and evaluation. Ensure the review of Evidence Based Practices in the literature, collection, analysis, review and interpretation of data, and application of process improvement tools to improve patient outcomes. Provide ongoing Quality and Value Improvement coaching and education for nursing and support of projects. Ensure that all data reporting requirements are met for all EHC Operating Units for ANCC Magnet accreditation. Provide predictive data to support all EHC Operating Units trajectory of readiness related to outcome measures for ANCC Magnet accreditation. Ensure that the Nursing Quality Index TM (NQI) and other Nursing Quality reports and metrics are updated, validated, and communicated in a timely manner. Maintain the relevance of the NQI to the strategic initiatives for Emory Healthcare and as applicable to the latest ANCC and NDNQI updates to accurately reflect entity level Magnet readiness. Manage National Database of Nursing Quality Indicators (NDNQI) EHC contracts and serve as Site Coordinator for multiple EHC hospitals. Responsible for ensuring that data is uploaded to NDNQI per quarterly schedule. Manage department staff and work collaboratively with nursing quality leaders and Magnet program directors at each entity. Plan and manage department operations and capital budget. Manages department budget and determines fiscal requirements and prepares budgetary recommendations. Manage contracts with vendors for databases utilized by Nursing Quality (Mediware, etc.). Collaborate with the EHC Vice President for Quality and staff to communicate and coordinate Quality improvement functions and projects. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Advanced knowledge of Excel, QI Macros, and Business Intelligence software. Ability to design and evaluate data collection tools, metrics, and dashboards for improvement. Ability to lead and facilitate process improvement events and initiatives. Advanced knowledge of nursing sensitive indicators and healthcare quality metrics. Master¿s Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Quality, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Systems/Industrial Engineering or related field. 8 to 10 years nursing experience required with a minimum of 5 years in nursing leadership. DNP or PhD preferred Five years of experience in Healthcare Quality, Analytics, and/or Management/Systems Engineering. Management experience required. Advanced Knowledge of data analytics and Process Improvement methodology, e.g. Lean, the Model for Improvement, and/or Six Sigma. Strong written communication and presentation skills.
