Our Caterpillar Remanufacturing Division currently has an opening for an EHS Manufacturing Technician III position located in the Corinth, MS facility. This position will implement and support EHS Assurance Manual environmental essential elements, the EHS Excellence System, and company policies. Candidate will monitor operations to USEPA/MDEQ regulations and conduct periodic on-stie facility audits, waste profiles, sampling, etc. to ensure environmental compliance as required.
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Operator should have attention to detail and be self-motivated.
Must have ability to communicate technical information effectively
Physically capable of completing inspections in outdoor environment
Operator will work in a team environment.
Operator is expected to cross train in other areas of operations to provide flexibility within the job classification scope.
Validate compliance to environmental essential elements of the EHS Assurance Manual at MS Reman Facility locations.
Respond to assigned facility EHS CI Cards. Participate in departmental PID's, Stop to Fix, Pulse Observations, and (Safety Blitz, Standard Work, 5S) audits.
Support EHS CAPA process through follow up, and effectiveness checks.
Serve as an Environmental SME for problem solving meetings as requested.
Complete Environmental required Inspections for MS Reman facilities.
Calibrate EHS equipment according to established frequency.
Insure EHS record keeping is up to date and meets retention requirements.
Perform specific components of EHS projects as directed
Assist operations with incidents and accident/injury investigations.
Lead EHS meetings and acts as a resource for the group.
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year EHS / Hazardous Materials experience or EHS/Science Related associate degree.
Valid driver's license with no restrictions noted that would inhibit execution of noted job functions.
Experience with safety related policies and procedures
Familiarity with the EHS programs, auditing, and emergency response.
Basic mathematics literacy in arithmetic, measurements, and algebra.
Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point)
Comprehension of oral instructions and/or printed work orders to determine work assignments and material and equipment needs.
Apply Standard Work procedures
Top Candidates Will Also complete or have completed:
Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response Standard (HAZWOPER) certification.
Visible Emissions Evaluation (Method 9 and 22) Semi-Annual Certification
Basic First Aid and CPR certification.
RCRA and Department of Transportation (DOT) Training
Knowledge of Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations.
Demonstrate motivation, initiative, and good decision-making processes.
Ability to Coach and Lead Others to act.

Starting hourly pay rate of $21.80 (pay negotiations based on skills/experience)
Work Hours: 8AM - 4PM; Monday
40-hour work weeks with potential for overtime
80 hours of vacation with an additional 24 hours of paid Personal Time Off (PTO)
