The Coram Epic Credentialed Trainer is responsible for providing successful in-classroom training to a diversified audience for a major Healthcare IT implementation of an electronic healthcare record utilizing the Epic system of applications. You will partner closely with the Epic Certified Principal Trainer to ensure all training material is prepared and updated as appropriate. The Epic Credentialed Trainer will also have various reporting and analytical duties integral to the success of the project.
It will require flexible work hours to meet the needs of the user community. The role will also require adaptability, and the ability to pivot with the changing needs of the project.
The Epic Credentialed Trainer will operate in a fast paced environment and will liaise with end users to ensure each colleague's success. This position requires completion of the credentialing process including an intense seven-week training program on the applications(s) you will be teaching, competency checking, teach-backs and teaching the application before a review panel prior to credentialing.
6 month training experience and expertise (including peer to peer training) is required; a passion for the education of adults strongly preferred
Ability to consistently present scripted training materials to large groups, and to conduct engaging and effective training sessions to diverse audiences including management staff, pharmacists, clinical, and business office colleagues
Ability to work flexible hours to meet the needs of the user community, and travel for extended periods of time
Ability to read, understand, interpret and apply technical manuals and documentation
Comfortable and confident in the use of technology, but it is not necessary to be an "expert". Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word), Webex and virtual meeting platforms and SharePoint.
Knowledge of CVS Coram or Home Infusion clinical and operational workflows, as well as policy and procedures is preferred
Epic experience with the following applications: EpicCare Ambulatory, Cadence, Prelude, Referrals, Professional Billing/Claims, Willow Inpatient or Ambulatory, HIM, Cogito Reporting
Knowledge of the concepts, standards and practices related to adult learning and educational effectiveness
Knowledge of approaches, tools, and techniques for delivering formal and informal training programs and evaluate their effectiveness
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required, College Education Preferred.
