WorldStrides is a strongly mission driven company providing experiential learning and student travel to students around the world. We are seeking an experienced copywriter who is able to write compelling marketing and sales copy directed to different audiences and across multiple channels. The ideal candidate will not only be a strong writer and proofreader but will be a team-player, be deadline oriented, able to multi-task and be able to pivot to write for multiple product lines. The copywriter will have overarching responsibility for all copy within their assigned businesses of the organization and will provide active brand stewardship.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
I. Active brand leadership and stewardship across all company assignments
II. Copy generation to support all major company assignments. Flex across multiple channels (e.g. email, digital/print ads, collateral, social, video, B2B/B2C), audiences and products.
III. Collaboration with internal stakeholders in developing clear, strong, focused creative briefs that drive on-target creative execution
IV. Collaboration with designers to create and produce concepts within deliverables that support and build our brand
V. Maintain understanding of all markets, products and services offered by the company.
VI. Maintain understanding and proficiency level for audience use of print and digital software, plus the ability to generate copy type that is optimized for each media platform
Four-year degree required from an accredited university or art school. Minimum 2-4 years professional experience.
Strong, proven track record in developing persuasive marketing/sales copy/concept across print, email, digital ads, web and more
Strong, hands-on experience in translating brand standards (including voice and copy tone) into market-ready messaging
Proven ability to collaborate with the creative team and business stakeholders to produce high-quality work, on time and on target
Team player with desire to build consensus and excitement about the WorldStrides creative product"brand champion" both within the department and across the company
Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to persuasively articulate the value of our creative work to company stakeholders
Maturity and enthusiasm to handle a large workload, significant growth and change within the department and company
Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to work in a fast-paced office environment. Some travel possible.
Must provide an online portfolio of work for consideration.
