What we want
We are seeking an experienced, persuasive writer (copywriter) to help us continue to grow our brand, acquire new members/clients, and help us maximize revenue for our clients.
Who you are
You must be passionate about eloquently persuading readers through your writing because you will be writing all marketing communications for our brand as well as creating effective marketing strategies to be executed by you and our existing team. You will also work with our team to improve conversion rates and ecommerce results for our clients who use our SaaS products to sell flowers and related products.
You need to possess a deep understanding of the psychology of selling through the written word. You are expected to excel at taking on the readers perspective and be able to capture attention, develop interest, create desire and compel readers to take action (to click, opt-in, and most importantly to buy) through your writing. You stay on top of best practices copy hacking strategies for creating persuasive copy.
You must thrive on producing measurable results and being held accountable for the results of the copy, content and strategies you produce, including but not limited to creating content marketing strategies, email marketing, optimizing ecommerce conversions, SEO, writing paid ads, blog writing, and some light technical writing for our internal knowledge base, FAQs, etc.
What you will be doing
Write. Churn out a healthy volume of quality copy and other written marketing materials, most of which is directly responsible for generating clicks, customers and sales. You will also write some technical documentation, such as surveys, polls, etc. Ensure that the Lovinglys messaging, voice, tone, and style are consistent throughout all channels, especially when others are writing for Lovingly.
Strategize. Create and contribute to new methods of driving traffic and generating new business, whether through content marketing, advertising or other effective forms of marketing.
Study. Expand your current knowledge and expertise through ongoing reading to sharpen your ability to perform and increase company sales and conversions from ads, marketing copy, ecommerce copy and more.
Sell. Although this is not a sales position, you are expected to sell your ideas to the team and back them with validation, research, proven results, etc. as needed because we are always striving to deploy increasingly effective strategies, ads and writing that generates revenues and results.
Prioritize. Manage multiple projects at once while ensuring the most important things get done well and on time.
Collaborate. You will communicate and work with other people within the company in various capacities to further the companys objectives as a team.
Test. Put different versions of your writing through the latest tools for A/B testing to validate which version of your Email Subject Line, or CTA button text lead to conversion
Persuade. Be able to relate to and persuade our customers, both in a B2B and B2C model. Understand your audience and drive our users to take action and become successful conversion metrics
What will separate you from the pack?
You have an eye for design, you understand how your copy is laid out visually impacts the persuasion model. You have dabbled in some design tools such as AdobeXD, Photoshop, Invision, and can help prototype your text in a compelling full visual story.
