Squarespace is equally defined by its products and the advertising campaigns that promote and explain them. From the Emmy award-winning John Malkovich work, to last year's Super Bowl ad featuring Keanu Reeves, creating buzzy and beautifully designed communications is a top priority.

We're looking for a summer copywriting intern to join our in-house creative team in New York. Candidates should be strategically and conceptually strong and prepared to work across a wide range of deliverables, including TV, print, radio, out of home, social, digital, partnerships and events.

Existing art director/copywriter teams are also welcome to apply.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Solve marketing challenges through beautiful and creative strategic work.

  • Turn ideas into a reality for our advertising campaigns, social media networks and more.

  • Work independently and collaboratively on projects with stakeholders across the company.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A portfolio that shows strong strategic and conceptual campaign thinking applied across a wide range of deliverables.

  • Current enrollment in an advertising degree program graduating in 2019 or 2020.

  • Excellent writing craft.

  • Broad awareness of trends in culture and technology.

  • Previous experience in agency or studio environments is a plus, but not required.

The intern will assist the Sales and Marketing Teams in numerous daily functions, including: strategy on approaching partner brands, crafting client-focused product solutions, building client partnerships, preparing sales proposals and client presentations, collecting and presenting research information, advertising creative deadlines, and tracking impression delivery. Additionally, this Intern will work with clients to optimize the effectiveness of their advertising campaigns. Role Responsibilities: * Work closely with the Marketing Team to craft client-focused products across our diverse family of premium content brands including: Entertainment, News, Tech, Sports, and Games * Work with the Marketing and Sales teams and other departments to assist in the creation of client proposals, presentations, and media plans * Attend Sales calls with the Sales Team to assess and understand client needs and goals * Attend internal strategy sessions with Marketing and Sales Management * Work with our research and analytics team, to craft media plans targeted at the appropriate audiences * Assist in the implementation of creative and tagging for advertising campaigns * Monitor campaigns to ensure campaign delivery, and make optimization recommendations Logistics: * Time commitment: full-time, 40 hours per week during our regular office hours (Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm) but times may vary per team * This is a paid internship and can also be for university credit if it meets your university's guidelines Qualifications: * Comfortable speaking to an audience * Ability to work as part of a large team * Outstanding verbal and written communication skills * Outstanding telephone skills * Demonstrated analytical ability * High energy and desire to begin a career in Sales * Prior Media internship experience preferred but not required Additional Requirements: * Intern must be a student currently enrolled in an accredited college or university * Must be at least 18 years old EEO Statement: Equal Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Veterans/Disabled CBS Interactive New York NY
