SUMMARY

The Copywriter is responsible for providing copy for all marketing materials including but not limited to Direct Mail, Email, Radio and TV scripts, outdoor and social.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create copy for all marketing materials in various media

  • Maintain consistency of message across all media channels

  • Nurture "a voice" for each segment: Western, Work, Fashion

  • Maintain consistency within the "voice," for each segment and Boot Barn as a parent brand

  • Copy-editing and proof-read all copy

  • Any other duties as assigned

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Demonstrates high degree of professionalism in communication, attitude and teamwork with customers, peers and management

  • Demonstrates high level of quality work, attendance and appearance

  • Adheres to all Company Policies & Procedures and Safety Regulations

  • Adheres to local, state and federal laws

  • Performs any other duties that may be assigned by manager

  • Understands and complies with all company rules and regulations

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred

  • 1-2 years work experience, preferred

  • Must be extremely well organized and be a strong problem solver

  • Self-motivated with good initiative

Supports the Creative Director by helping bring the Sage brand to life in North American marketing, events, and internal initiatives via storytelling and content creation. Perfect candidate is equally comfortable conceptualizing high-level campaigns as well as creating content for lower-funnel promotional offers.
