SUMMARY

Conducts evaluation of instructional programs and research of educational issues important to TUSD.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Masters Degree in Social Sciences or related research field.

Three (3) years prior experience in an educational or social science program evaluation and/or research, including experience in quantitative and/or qualitative research, analysis, statistical methods and computer applications.

Any equivalent combination of experience, training, or education.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge and experience with relational databases and structured query language.

Knowledge and experience with advanced statistical techniques, including but not limited to multivariate analysis, Item Response Theory (IRT), and causal modeling.

Ability to design and implement research and evaluation instruments from defining the scope of project, creating appropriate instruments, data collection, analysis, and writing/presenting finds.

Knowledge and experience with statistical and web applications, including but not limited to ArcGIS, SPSS, ASP.net.

Experience working with diverse constituents.

Experience in communicating research findings to diverse audiences in the form of written reports, oral presentations, and the web.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE

FBI fingerprint background check (at employee's expense).

Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.

1.0 FTE - 8 hours per day
12 month position

Internal candidates will transfer at a rate commensurate with their bargaining unit language.

The hiring range for external candidates will be $50,153.00 to $58,226.08, based on experience.

VIEW JOBS 2/28/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-05-28T00:00 SUMMARY Provide support for the Behavior Intervention Program under the direction of the Principal. Monitor and conduct dialogues with students, serves as liaison between students and the administration, maintain documentation, and monitor after-school detention. * DAEP is part of the desegregation plan (Project 5) with the task of reducing the drop out rate * Communication, computer, and organizational skill are essential for this position. * Long term suspensions average between 20 to 45 days – thus, we have a revolving door of students entering and leaving the program throughout the year. * It is a self-contained and stand-alone program. It is staffed with one teacher and one Behavior Intervention Monitor. * Due to programmatic needs, staff may be temporarily assigned to a different DAEP location to meet program and student needs. * Ideal candidate is one who is effective redirecting student misbehaviors MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS High School Diploma or G.E.D. Associate's (or higher) degree, or two-years (60 Semester-Hour credits) of study at an institute of higher learning. OR Completion of an AZ Department of Education-approved Academic Assessment Test. Copy of diploma, transcripts or test results must be submitted at time of application. Two years of experience working with students. Knowledge and ability to use word processing, database and spreadsheet programs. Verbal & written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions. Any equivalent combination of training, education or experience that meets the minimum requirements will be accepted. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience with Mojave software. The hiring range for external candidates will be $12.58 to $14.61 based on experience.
