This position works under the supervision of a Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) Special Agent in Charge at the Milwaukee Field Office. The person assigned performs professional work and serves under the statewide coordinator for the COPS Anti-Heroin Task Force (AHTF) and COPS Anti- Methamphetamine Program (CAMP) grants, in addition to the Authorized Central Storage (ACS) Container Program that supports Clandestine Laboratory Investigations.
The person in this position will provide high level monitoring of the aforementioned programs and make recommendations for the continuous improvement for the program. The main responsibility will be to monitor, provide oversight over, and serve as the main point of contact at the Wisconsin Department of Justice for the COPS AHTF Grant, CAMP Grant, and ACS Container Program, although the position will also have a strong training and networking component.
Applicants must be legally entitled to work in the United States (i.e., a citizen or national of the U.S., a lawful permanent resident, an alien authorized to work in the U.S. without DOJ sponsorship) at the time of application. The Department of Justice will conduct an extensive criminal background check including fingerprints on selected applicant prior to appointment. This position is subject to pre-employment and random drug testing.
Minimally Qualified applicants will have:
Knowledge of and familiarity with the criminal justice system
Extensive experience using a personal computer, including advanced document production in platforms such as Microsoft Word and Excel
Considerable skill in establishing and maintaining effective interpersonal working relationships
The following is preferred:
Knowledge of or experience in grant administration, including grant program analysis
Knowledge of or experience in coordinating drug training programs
