Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Under the general supervision of the Revenue Integrity Analyst Supervisor, this individual is responsible for coordinating copayment enrollment and claims assistance for all community practice therapeutics. In addition, the incumbent will provide patients with drug assistance program information and optimize reimbursement for cancer and specialty therapies by ensuring that FDA guidelines and off-label compendia listings are properly observed for insurance reimbursement.

Salary range: $28.23/hr - $40.44/hr

Required:

  • Knowledge of medical office procedures, including general knowledge of oncology procedures and terminology.

  • Knowledge of oncology CPT and ICD-10 codes

  • Working knowledge of insurance authorizations and verification process for major medical insurance plans.

  • Healthcare research and analysis skills sufficient to support drug coverage and reimbursement questions/issues

  • Demonstrated ability to be punctual and maintain a satisfactory attendance record.

  • Demonstrated ability to adhere to departmental policies and procedures and work rules.

  • Ability to perform other tasks and duties as assigned.

  • Ability to maintain composure when confronted with difficult situations and respond professionally

  • Skill in speaking clearly and using appropriate grammar.

  • Skill in writing concise, grammatically correct reports/correspondence.

  • Ability to set priorities and complete assignments in a timely manner.

  • Strong customer service skills to promote pleasant and effective interactions with patients, staff and physicians

  • Skill in adapting to, and implementing, frequently changing procedures

  • One year of Hematology and Oncology Experience

Preferred:

  • Experience with CareConnect (EPIC) electronic health record system
