VerizonConnect is looking for an Analyst, Sales Operations to serve as operational support the Sales team. This individual will support a wide variety of cross-functional duties with an emphasis on sales support. Looking for a multi-tasking self-starter who takes initiative and executes effectively in a swift and timely manner on all tasks and responsibilities. This position will provide guidance and serve as liaison to other business units during deal negotiation and execution. This is a very fast, aggressive, high-energy position within a sales cultural atmosphere.

Partnership with Sales:

  • Prospects/Customers: will serve partner to assist in project managing deal execution

  • Opportunity Review: analyze proposed deal and ensure system and configuration compliance

  • Deal Compliance: ensure all deals are compliant with company goals and policy

  • Master Service Agreements: responsible for SFDC agreement creation, compliance and ongoing maintenance

  • Training: lead onboarding operations training and provide to field

  • Cross Functional Coordination: will lead meetings with various internal teams as needed to ensure deal compliance (contracts, supply chain, fulfillment, product, solutions, professional services, premier support)

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Opportunity creation: Re-Orders, Add-On Orders, SFDC Records

  • Queue Management: Ensuring cases are addressed and resolved in adherence to response and resolution SLA

  • Case Management: Resolving core transactional cases- to include obtaining approvals, ensuring compliance and adherence to (SFDC) and corporate policy

  • Error Review: Identifying root cause and solution to SFDC errors on behalf of sales in coordination with system administrators

  • Case Creation: responsible for ensuring all activities are documented via case in order to ensure KPI data integrity

  • Deal Approval Reviews: Review Master Service Agreement deals for operational accuracy and ensure deal approvals are obtained, documented and confirmed

  • Account Reviews: Knowledge of and assist with Salesforce account structure, alignment and data accuracy

  • SFDC Reporting: Building reports and Dashboards on occasion

  • OEM Support: Provide assistance for daily activities for direct OEM sales

What we're looking for...


  • Experience working with: Sales, Sales Operations, Order Entry/Processing, Master Contracts or Customer Support

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

  • Advanced experience with highly preferred

  • Experience with project coordination/management

  • Advanced knowledge of sales processes

  • Familiarity with contract analysis

  • Experience handling confidential information

  • Familiarity with SaaS models and revenue recognition

  • Candidate must be focused, detail oriented and able to work in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment

  • Team player with strong work ethic

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required

  • Must have excellent phone communication and organizational skills

  • Customer service experience is mandatory

  • Proficient computer skills strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)

  • Overtime occasionally required to meet the needs of the company

  • Mid to light travel

VIEW JOBS 3/14/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-06-12T00:00 The devices business is organized around two things: Portfolio segments: there is an integrated engineering and product management team for each of the ASTRO, PCR, TETRA, and accessories portfolio segments. Building blocks: there are two "building blocks" teams, one for hardware and one for software, that create the building blocks used by the portfolio segment teams to create devices and accessories. Examples of building blocks include LMR modems, audio line up, antennas, batteries and chargers, displays, simple touch applications, and audio algorithms. The vast majority of the people in the business reside in portfolio segment and building block teams. The business ops and portfolio lead for devices sits on the devices leadership team with the segment and building block leaders. He or she leads a small team that supports the overall leader of the devices business to unify those teams into a cohesive business, both operationally and strategically. The responsibilities of the role are outlined below, broken into two sets. There is an existing team in place to handle the operations responsibilities. The leader of that team will report to this role. The portfolio responsibilities are expected consume more of the personal time and energy of the person in this role, where he or she will work closely with the overall devices business leader. Portfolio * Runs the "one list" process within the devices business, serving as the primary point of contact to the regional teams to identify and refine sales priorities and engage appropriate leaders in the devices business to decide and commit delivery against the prioritized list. * Drives cadence of strategy and priority reviews with regional sales teams, some at the overall devices level and some at the portfolio segment level. * Brings a point of view about investment priorities and business strategy as an independent member of the leadership team. This includes extracting insights from the devices strategy and portfolio segment roadmaps to guide building block roadmaps. * Leads scenario planning around investment alternatives for the devices business. This includes setting the "standards" and expectations for scenario planning within each of the operational units. * Creates and maintains devices level portfolio and roadmap views and develops the supporting narrative to explain our devices strategy. * Develops materials for internal communications, external operations reviews, customer meetings, partner events. Operations - existing team in place * Owns the devices "checkbook," the processes and tools used to plan assignment of devices engineers to projects. * Owns the devices project dashboard, a roll up of project performance against cost and schedule milestones for projects across the business. * Owns maintenance and expansion of the Tableau dashboard of business metrics used by the business leadership team. * Owns the devices implementation of Jira, a work item tracking tool for everything from software defects to new products. * Owns definition and implementation of common engineering and business metrics to be used across the devices business. * Owns the top level review cadence for the organization, including quarterly ops review for each segment and weekly critical project reviews.
