Job Summary:

The Inventory Control Analyst will be an essential position to execute all inventory control functions including: running daily reports, tracking inventory, research discrepancies, maintaining inventory levels, assisting with yearly physical inventory, cycle count reporting, coordinating material flow, and driving continual improvements. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and possess a high level of analytical and problem solving skills as it relates to inventory accuracy and the impact on the overall business.


  • Review and analyze daily and weekly inventory adjustments and changes.

  • Assist in the management of the facility cycle counting program including physical counts, variance analysis and root cause identification, as well as reporting and analysis of weekly and monthly cycle counting metrics per Enterprise Materials Standard Work.

  • Coordinate and account for material movement to and from both warehouse as well as outside service providers (OSP).

  • Perform production control activities through validation of material availability through utilization of proactive planning tools.

  • Analyze and report on metrics and recommend ways to improve the inventory control function.

  • Develop, maintain and evaluate queries and reports to support inventory control activity analysis and reporting.

  • Audit applications and processes to ensure data integrity.

  • Analyze existing business processes and logic that impact inventory throughout the company through personal observation and user interaction.

  • Perform data analysis and audits of operation processes, inventory movement analysis and other procedures.

  • Ability to multitask and work independently with precise detail and follow-up reporting.

  • Must be flexible with start and end times that are communicated in advance that support Inventory Control. This involves overtime as needed and Special Projects.

  • Meet performance expectations with limited supervision in accordance of standard work.

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Prior experience in Inventory Control, Quality, or Audit Service.

  • Work overtime and weekends as required.

  • Timely response to emails, phone of radio calls.

  • Proven problem solving abilities and analytical skills.

  • Effective organizational and interpersonal skills.

  • Solid understanding of manufacturing environments, including purchasing, inventory and warehouse operations.

  • College degree preferred or a minimum of 3-5 years' experience in inventory, distribution and/or operations.

  • Microsoft Suite experience

In this role, you will have the opportunity to not only perform excellent electrician work but high quality maintenance work as well. While working with a small team as well as independently, you will be responsible for repair, calibration, installation and maintenance of electrical instrumentation, control devices or electrical systems on a variety of equipment. Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: * Ensure operation of company equipment including electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, control devices, and HVAC, for process and facility. * Able to perform electrical repairs and scheduled inspections of equipment, following the prescribed guidelines and procedures. * Review and lead electrical safety program for the plant maintenance team. * Service, troubleshoot and repair any problem of any electrical/mechanical nature. * Adherence to all quality systems & safety procedures including Environmental regulations, OSHA, and PSM procedures in everyday work routine. * Make recommendations for improved safety through electrical programs and/or process changes including addition of new devices, and hardware. Serve as safety program leader. Qualifications The following are required: * High School diploma/GED equivalent with 2-3 years of Industrial Maintenance experience OR Associate's Degree or two-year Trade School Degree in a Technical, Electrical, or Mechanical field * Willing and able to work at heights up to 25 feet * Ability to schedule work/jobs and follow-up on completion status * Able to understand and interpret the National Electric Code * Willing and able to work hours required of this role (this job is typically a day job but requires overtime hours including weekend work during our seasonal peaks) The following are preferred: * Washington and/or Oregon Journeyman Electrician certification * Experience with a CMMS (or similar system) for work orders and parts inventory * SAP Experience * Automation skills * PLC knowledge * Additional industrial maintenance work experience (to include production equipment - electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, instrumentation and controls, HVAC and general maintenance experience) Dow Agrosciences Rushville IN
