POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The Coordinator,WW Video Post-Production is responsible for keeping the work flowing with eightin-house edit bays and production studio. The Coordinator, WW VideoPost-Production will support HN staff and freelance producers and projectmanagers with digitizing raw camera media from studio and location shootsaround the world, and convert media to a usable file format to expedite thework flow from production to post-production, support the staff and freelanceeditors with project setup, export final project masters for more than a dozenvideo content categories ranging from product recipe videos all the way to CEOmessages for local and global distribution, assist in basic video and audioediting, versioning, and localization with foreign language subtitles, text,and logo changes, download audio and video media from authorized serviceproviders and be the final eyes and ears with quality control to verifytechnical integrity and brand consistency for the final overall look. The Coordinator, WW Video Post-Production is a resourceful, highly organized and proactiveindividual who will ensure projects run smoothly and complete on time. Thesuccessful candidate follows emerging advancements and trends in video mediamanagement and is driven by achievement of best practices in media managementand post-production workflows.
Responsible for archiving finished jobs to our on-linemedia servers and off-line digital LTO tape
Asset media management, preparation, mastering, andtrafficking.
Perform compression and optimization of digital filesfor specified deliverable specs in common and uncommon formats.
Liaise with producers, project managers, and assetmanagers to receive, transcode, organize, and ingest raw media assets. InputtingMetadata utilizing local digital asset management system (DAMS) to maintain consistent taxonomyfor seamless search and retrieval.
Timely and secure uploads and downloads of large filesized files utilizing File Transfer Protocol (e.g. Box)
Follow companyfile naming convention an taxonomy with attention to detail
Stay current with all file-based technology includingcamera codecs, wrappers, and encoding workflows.
Liaise with Managers to align priorities and workflows
Coordinate with producers, editors, and project managersto achieve delivery specs and deadlines for more than one thousand deliverablesyearly.
Perform basicedits when needed using in-house systems and platforms. Currently AdobePremiere Pro CC
Videotape duplication (DigiBeta, BetaSP, 3/4")and DVD authoring as needed.
Self-motivated and able to work with little or no directsupervision.
Ability to prioritize workload and meet projectdeadlines using basic time management skills.
Individual must be organized, diligent anddetail-oriented.
Demonstrate strong creative problem-solving abilities.
Adobe Premiere Pro CC Experience (Editing, Media Management,Encoding)
Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
Knowledge of creating and exporting Textless and/orSplit-track versions of final masters
Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
Knowledge of widely used professional and end user video& audio file formats and standards
Knowledge of ingesting media from Camera cards / Harddrives e.g. P2, CF, SD, Etc.
Attention and adherence to high levels of technicaldetail.
Must be comfortable working in a technology-focusedenvironment
Experience with video/audio quality control. "Criticaleye"
1-2 years as anassistant editor or machine room assistant.
Working knowledgeof Adobe Premiere Pro CC and Apple Final Cut Pro 7.
Strongfamiliarity with Adobe Media Encoder and Apple Compressor.
Understanding ofStandard Conversions, aspect ratio, frame rate, 4K, HD, SD, Anamorphic, 59.94to 23.98)
Knowledge of media asset management Systems (MAMS/DAMS)particularly Reach Engine, Edit Share, SAN, StorNext, or similar environments
Familiarity with technical broadcast delivery standardsinvolving codecs and compression
Experience in agency or digital marking post-productionworkflows
Able to speak/understand Spanish fluently is a plus.
Working knowledge of Avid, Apple Final Cut Pro 7, othercommon non-linear platforms and linear editing principles.
Bachelor of the Arts degree or equivalent work experience
