This role oversees project management initiatives, ensuring the seamless execution of workforce development programs and technician programs (both credit and noncredit) at the Lake Campus. This role will also extend to foundation coordination, fostering strong relationships with partners such as the Western Ohio Education Foundation (WOEF). By effectively managing grants, overseeing program logistics, and coordinating projects, the incumbent will play a vital role in advancing the mission of empowering individuals through education and skill development.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors' degree OR Associates degree and 2 years of relevant experience. Internships, Student Employment, Graduate Assistantship experience applies.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Skill in operating standard PC software applications (word processing, spreadsheets, etc.)
Strong organizational skills
Attention to detail and efficient in reviewing and completing work
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a university setting.
Experience in coordinating student-centered programs/activities.
Experience in building and maintaining relationships with various stakeholders
Essential Functions and percent of time:
Project Management (60%)
Grant Management: Secures, manages, and ensures compliance with grant funding for workforce development programs at the Lake Campus. Prepares detailed reports and maintains accurate records for all grant-funded projects. Stays informed about funding opportunities and identifies strategic grant applications.
Technician Program Oversight: Oversees the daily operations of the Lake campus technician programs, ensuring they run smoothly and effectively.Works with instructors to schedule classes and recruit students. Manages program logistics, including budgets, supplies, and equipment needs. Tracks student progress and ensures program completion adheres to industry standards.
Project Coordination: Manages and coordinates additional workforce development projects as assigned, ensuring efficient execution and completion within deadlines. Develops project plans, timelines, and budgets. Tracks project progress, identify and address any challenges, and adjust plans as needed. Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project success.
Data & Reporting: Analyzes and interprets data related to workforce development programs and the technician program. Prepares reports and presentations to document program effectiveness and impact. Utilizes data to inform future program development and funding strategies.
Manages and develops efficient workflows and tools to streamline processes and logistics, periodically updating them

Foundation Coordination (20%)
Communication/Outreach (5%)
Prepares and distributes workforce develop communication in coordination with the Lake Campus Director of Marketing and Communications. Works with relevant stakeholders to ensure consistent messaging and timing.
Works collaboratively with all relevant campus departments, vendors, external persons and organizations
May represent WDBEC at on and off campus events
Office Management (15%)
Administrative support of the Director of WDBEC to include: scheduling and preparing meetings and preparation of correspondence and reports.
Conducts research, compiles data, and prepares papers for consideration and presentation by WDBEC.
Coordinates and directs the general management of the office by exercising functional leadership and problem-solving skills, carrying out a broad and complex set of assignments, taking appropriate independent action as needed.
Monitors and tracks document flow in and out of the office, including maintenance of records and files.
