Position Summary:

Sirius XM, the broadcast leader providing music across all genres, live play-by-play sports, the biggest names in news and talk, is looking to hire talented members for our growing Traffic Department. The Traffic team focuses on flawless execution of copy for our News-Talk/ENTERTAINMENT /Sports Channels, from tracking commercial scripts, ensuring all copy/creative is received and input in our Wide Orbit and Automated systems in a timely manner, and working closely with the ad sales team, and our valuable clients. The Traffic Coordinator, will proactively interface directly with agencies/clients in obtaining copy and instructions for scheduled sales orders. Traffic coordinator will also edit all logs working closely with Programming and Broadcast operations to ensure best placement of spots and support the Businesses HIGH VOLUME and fast-paced team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist Traffic Supervisors and Manager with other activities as assigned and serve as back-up

  • Review and assess any ad sales creative issues that affect tracking, successful execution, reporting and downstream billing.

  • Work closely with the Ad Sales Account Executives to ensure that copy is meeting the expectation of the client and missing copy is received timely.

  • Must be flexible to accommodate last minute business. As well as blackout vacation periods

  • One Hundred percent accountable to ensure logs are formatted and commercials are scheduled properly and that all logs have been loaded into automation system

  • Provide unsurpassed customer service.

  • Liaise among sales department, engineering operations, and programming and commercial production departments..

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BA in Communications or business preferred or equivalent experience.

  • 2+ years of traffic experience.

  • Or equivalent, relevant experience.

Technical Skills:

  • (Thorough knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).

  • Wide Orbit, Broadview experience preferred but not required

  • Thorough knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).

The Coordinator's main responsibility is to maximize revenues for the New York Interconnect by creating schedules that ensure highest revenue and priority spots are placed and properly air. The Coordinator's functions include working in various traffic and inventory systems on network programming and formatting for break schedules, creative Copy preparation for linear commercials, their point of entry and management. Responsibilities * Create logs and schedule spots on all networks for their zones on a daily basis. * Export and activate orders and order revisions properly into software. Follow all business rules to maximize revenues by scheduling spots based on highest priority/rate * Resolve scheduling discrepancies on all orders * Activate orders in a timely fashion, applying copy, adjusting headers and sending confirmations sales teams, communicating any issues * Process and distribute daily notifications for missing copy and traffic instructions, and unplaced / missed spots / opportunities * Coordinate with Visible World on complex traffic instructions – Ex – Network Programming Business for Zone Level Addressable tagging instructions * Monitor schedules for future Network log exceptions, oversell and missed opportunities.
