The purpose of the position is to execute digital marketing communications and campaigns that promote the College of Engineering as part of the college's goal of increasing brand awareness and engagement through digital platforms. Through compelling content and effective project management across various digital platforms (social media, web portals, CRM, and email marketing), this position will collaborate closely with academic departments and marketing communication colleagues within the college to develop content and campaigns under a comprehensive college communications and recruitment strategy.

Essential Functions

Build, produce, and execute digital campaigns in email marketing platform, CRM, social media, and other digital platforms under tight deadlines and in collaboration with college marketing, enrollment, outreach, and editorial staff.

Gather, author, and produce original digital/multimedia content in the form of social media posts/stories, email content, blog posts, and web content using digital production tools.

Evaluate progress towards targets by collecting data for reports with basic data analysis and insights.

Edit and proofread content to ensure accuracy and adherence to university style guidelines and serve as backup proofreader for all college communications as needed.

Serve as backup for social media monitoring and web analytics, and web admin, and graphic design.

Attend regularly scheduled meetings, serve on ad hoc committees, and complete other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or related field required. Additional formal or on-the-job training in digital communications as evidenced by work experience, co-ops, or internships.

Minimum 1 year of career/professional experience creating campaign content in digital platforms (email marketing platforms such as MailChimp, Emma, Constant Contact, etc.; social media platforms such as HootSuite, SproutSocial, etc.; or content creation and delivery through CRMs). Minimum two years of combined communications experience in writing, editing, content development/creation either directly or indirectly.

Exceptional copywriting, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.

Must be comfortable understanding, creating, and working with STEM-related content. Proficiency in digital content creation in digital content tools such as Canva, Later, Adobe, etc. Demonstrated ability to collaborate virtually in collaboration software tools such Microsoft Teams.

Preferred Qualifications Work Hours

Typical hours are 8-4:30 M-F. Eligible for remote/hybrid work.

Salary Commensurate with education and experience. Benefits Information

The University offers a competitive benefits package. Benefits include the accumulation of two vacation days per month and one sick leave day per month, and thirteen (13) University holidays.
