Nissan Motor Parts Center (NMPC) in Amsterdam is Nissan's master depot in Europe. NMPC supplies spare parts and accessories directly to dealers and distributors in Europe and beyond. From our 90.000 m2 warehouse in Amsterdam we distribute some 140.000 different articles in Europe 24 hours a day.

We have an opportunity available to work as a "Quality Control & Packaging Coordinator" in our warehouse office team at NMPC on a fulltime basis. At warehouse office, all warehouse activities are supported.

MISSION AND MAIN OBJECTIVE

The role of the "Quality Control & Packaging Coordinator" is to motivate/coach, guide and support our Quality Control (QC), Packaging engineers and part suppliers delivering NMPC. Including our 3PL Packaging operation at NMPC.

The QC & packaging engineers are handling all aspects of Parts QC & Packaging matters. This is in close cooperation with all our customers, suppliers and with the Renault Nissan Purchase Organization (RNPO).

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordination, guide our team of Quality Control & Packaging engineers.

  • Liaison with parts suppliers, both internally as external, for all Parts Quality Control & Packaging matters.

  • Communication with NESAS, RNPO, Suppliers & NMPC Warehouse regarding NMPC Packaging and Quality projects.

  • Initiate Parts Quality Control & Packaging improvements projects.

  • Coordinate 3PL. packaging operations, both in quality and lead-time performance, including cost control. Initiate cost reductions where possible.

  • Issue environmental, packaging related reports. Follow-up of CLP / Reach and DA goods regulations.

  • Support Total delivered Cost (Tdc) projects as part of the total Logistic cost

  • Support implementation of new "Alias" Warehouse Management system

ADDITIONAL TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for individual projects.

  • Support Specs setting per part in the Nissan (NEPS) system.

PROFILE

  • Education level; MBO - HBO (logistics/technical) or equivalent and working experience in Logistics and or Parts Production environment.

  • Experience with Quality Control & Packaging of technical (preferable automotive) products.

  • Quality minded, knowledge of quality and or production standards.

  • Hands on mentality/pro-active, take imitative

  • Good communication skills, open mind, being a team-player

  • Preferable have experience in leading a team

  • Being a Motivator, Inspirer & Coach.

  • Good computer skills e.g. Excel and Access/ Analysing tools e.g. database creation

  • Fluent in English & Dutch

  • Willing to travel

Apply today and let's grow together! Job Details GENERAL SUMMARY: Manages and administers the overall inventory control, inventory flow, and inventory accuracy processes for the distribution center. Responsible for the analysis and publication of inventory reports in addition to measuring and monitoring the cycle counting program. DUTIES and ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Inventory Control * Maintains/exceeds all inventory accuracy goals * Publishes reports, analyzes data, tracks performance by area, and determines problems and root causes; communicates results and recommends appropriate action. * Coordinates all functions of the statistical-based cycle counting and estimated statistical sampling * Maintains system data integrity. * Ensures that date-sensitive products are checked for expiration, quantities are correct, and exceptions are handled for timely movement of goods. * Sets up and/or changes the stock keeping unit (SKU) in the strategic pick location. * Ensures all cycle counts are scheduled and counting is completed timely, accurately, and in compliance with standard operating procedures. * Performs process or system testing as required to ensure accurate adjustments and program measurement. * Leads Mid-Year and Year End Inventory reconciliation processes * Monitors and maintains proper documentation for "Return to Vendor" product. Imports * Develop budget and monitor expenses * Analyze data to determine trends and staffing requirements * Monitor processes for Customs and S.O.P compliances * Monitor transfer process to ensure variances are resolved * Ensure that vendor Non-Compliance issues are reported to the Import Group with supporting documentation. * Ensure the destruction of merchandise is secured an inventoried for accuracy and Customs compliance. * Monitor and maintain adequate trailer pool * Ensure that containers are unloaded in a timely manner to eliminate detention charges * Ensure timely delivery of imports items to all DC's Qualifications WORK EXPERIENCE and/or EDUCATION: * Two years' experience in inventory control systems. * Thorough knowledge of distribution center operations preferred * Through knowledge of customs regulations preferred. WORKING CONDITIONS: * Must be able to physically move throughout the distribution center to monitor the flow of merchandise.
