Coordinator - Parts

Job Title: Parts Coordinator

Position Objective: Primary duties of the position include but are not limited to the following: assist shop mechanics daily, help walk-in and/or call in-in customers ordering parts. Research, and purchase parts, processing all backorders and returns for customers and service department; and completing all associated paperwork.

Essential Position Duties:

• Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with part-related inquiries, including ordering, back-ordering, and processing returns.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the parts counter and inventory areas to uphold safe working conditions.

• Foster positive relationships with internal departments and vendors to ensure efficient operations and customer satisfaction.

• Handle delivery and pick-up of parts and supplies in a timely and safe manner.

• Operate warehouse equipment such as Fork Trucks and Pallet Jacks within the warehouse.

• Perform assigned yard duties as directed by Management.

Position Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• 1-2 years of relevant work experience in parts, field service, or shop repair. Some Caterpillar and customer service experience is preferred, but not necessary.

• Strong communication skills (verbal, non-verbal, and written).

• Excellent customer service skills, exceeding customer expectations.

• Proficient in problem-solving, decision-making, and interpreting policies.

• Familiarity with product market and basic product knowledge.

• Ability to operate industry-specific programs and Microsoft Office.

• Capacity to manage conflicts, projects, and change.

• Uphold professionalism in appearance and interactions with customers and colleagues.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with mostly sitting and occasional standing, walking, bending, and reaching.

• Ability to obtain CDL "C" Chauffeur's Driver License.

Note: Training provided for suitable candidates who may not meet all requirements initially.
