Located just outside of Seattle, WA, Lake Washington Institute of Technology (LWTech) was founded in 1949, and is the only public institute of technology in the state of Washington. LWTech offers 12 bachelor's degrees, 42 associate degrees, and 70 professional certificates in 41 areas of study, including STEM-focused programs in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.

Summary of Position:
LWTech is seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated, and equity minded individual to serve as one of the primary recruiters for the college. The position is responsible for recruitment of all LWTech programs of study. This position works collaboratively with faculty and staff, including other recruitment and admission confused positions in a variety of offices on campus. The Coordinator will develop strategies to recruit underrepresented students, increase overall student enrollment, and represent the college in collaborative relationships with public agencies and private organizations in addition to key stakeholders on campus. The selected individual must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and must be willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekend. This is an exempt position that works under general and infrequent supervision, reporting to the Director of Outreach, Recruitment, & Intake.
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Develop and implement an annual comprehensive outreach and recruitment plan in partnership with other key stakeholders
Create and build relationships with employers, schools, organizations and LWTech faculty and staff to identify prospective students
Attend and represent LWTech at recruiting/employment events and workshops, as well as industry councils, events and other events where recruitment could occur
Provide information for prospective students regarding professional-technical and academic courses, admissions procedures, financial aid deadlines, support services, and related college information
Conduct campus tours for prospective students, high school groups, and others
Promptly respond to the needs and concerns of prospective students, their support networks, outside agencies, and others via email, phone, in person, and other means.
Recruit students regardless of race, ethnicity, socio-economic status, gender, disability status, veteran status, and other traditionally underrepresented backgrounds
Develop and conduct workshops and activities that encourage prospective students
Collaborate through regular communication with faculty and deans about program changes, details, student progression, and issues
Identify opportunities for collaboration and support of LWTech and employer interests (e.g. identifying instructors, advisory group members, training needs, etc.)
Assist in the marketing and promotion of LWTech and its programs
Track prospective student data in Radius, LWTech's CRM database
Create reports regarding prospective student data to develop strategic recruitment strategies
Identify and document student tracking methods to determine yield rates from various outreach activities; develop and maintain office procedures to assure program integrity; coordinate with other departments to track outcomes.
Prepare reports for internal and external sources
Participate in appropriate on-campus committees and task forces related to outreach and recruiting activities
Other duties as assigned.
Sufficient combination of education, work, and lived experience to demonstrate ability to meet the following expectations (generally, competitive candidates will have an associate degree or higher and one or more years of related experience):
Utilize outreach and recruitment strategies to meet enrollment goals
Use Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software
Present effectively to diverse groups, both large and small
Create and maintain systems for tracking and reporting
Effectively work with individuals of varied ethnicity, ages, educational backgrounds, and abilities
Confident and professional written and verbal communication abilities and experience
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team or independently
Proficiency in Microsoft Office for email, scheduling and calendar management, creation and editing of documents, presentations, and spreadsheets
Proficiency in Zoom, Teams, or other video conferencing software to provide virtual/remote services
Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle for regional travel
Ability to work some early mornings, evenings, and weekends as required

Preferred qualification:
One or more years work experience in higher education setting
Experience as a student or employee at a WA community or technical college
Compensation & Work Schedule
Salary is $5,836 per month. This is a full-time, 40 hours per week position. Typically, office hours are Monday-Friday from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm. This position offers flexible hours and hybrid schedule. This is subject to change based on the institution and division requirements. Evening and weekend hours may be required for outreach & recruitment events, which typically take place on/off campus within a 50 mile radius
