The Student Development Specialist III is responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating programs, policies and services for TAMU students related to the Women's Resource Center. This position is responsible for women's outreach including women's leadership, equity and other programs and services focused on women's needs.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Five years' experience in student affairs work or related specialty area with a bachelor's degree.
Three years' experience in student affairs work or related specialty area with a master's degree .

Other Requirements or Other Factors:
Preferred Education and Experience:
Master's degree in higher education administration or related field.
Three years' experience in student affairs related work. Experience educating about gender and women.

Demonstrated commitment to social justice and diversity education.
Ability to facilitate/engage in civil dialogues.
Salary Range: $45,000- $ 49,000.
Engages in individual developmental and/or educational conversations with students. Appropriately refers to the university and community resources and services. Serves as the primary advisor to The American Association of University Women at Texas A&M University (AAUW-TAMU).
Coordinates and supervises the administrative and women's program operations of the Women's Resource Center, which includes oversight of day-to-day operations. Performs collaborative participation in the development of long-term strategic plans, office evaluation and assessment, and office budget.
Designs, implements, and evaluates women's programs to meet office goals. Coordinates office correspondence, publications, and reports. Coordinates the development, revision, and distribution of marketing, education, and informational publications and materials. Some local travel will be required to fulfill these duties that require use of a vehicle and the ability to legally drive.
Designs, implements, and evaluates women's presentations and workshops to students, faculty, and staff in alignment with office mission.
Trains, hires, supervises, and evaluates graduate and student staff in the Women's Resource Center. Implements strategies relating to high impact learning in alignment with university initiatives.
Serves as a representative on Department, Division, and University committees and task forces, at events, and to department stakeholders as assigned. Advances the philosophy of multiculturalism and promote diversity in staffing, programming, and student leadership. Some weekend and evening work or travel may be required.
Maintains positive working relationships with office and department stakeholders. Serves as an office/department liaison for women's needs within both the campus and surrounding communities.
Works collaboratively with supervisor to develop evaluation and assessment for office. Implements established assessments and utilizes it for women's program improvement. Appropriately maintains expenditures within the office budget as discussed and agreed upon with the supervisor. Performs other duties as assigned.
