Summary: Reports directly to the Director of Early Childhood. The Coordinator will oversee the Parents as Teachers program and provide leadership through supervision, support, and evaluation of the performance of parent educators.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and monitor the delivery of services in accordance with DESE and PAT Essential Requirements

  • Supervise and evaluate parent educators

  • Support parent educators through Reflective Supervision and at least monthly staff meetings

  • Oversee and evaluate personal visits, group connections, and recruitment efforts

  • Support Early Childhood and community screening process

  • Monitor quality assurance guidelines and facilitate continuous quality improvement

  • Monitor budget for the PAT program

  • Maintain program records and documentation

  • Prepare and complete DESE PAT compliance plan, monthly invoicing, and final report; Annual Affiliate Performance Report for Parents as Teachers National Center

  • Collaborate with and maintain relationships with community organizations and leaders to help grow and sustain the program

  • Coordinate advisory committee

Qualification

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each of the essential duties listed above. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Bachelor Degree (Early Childhood Education, Social Work, Health, Psychology or related field preferred)

  • Certified parent educator, teaching or administrative certificate

  • At least 5 years' experience working with families and young children (experience as a parent educator preferred)

  • In-depth knowledge of the Parents as Teachers Model and the Foundational Curricula

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • A strong commitment to reflective supervision, data collection, and continuous quality improvement

  • Knowledge of Visit Tracker by DataKeeper preferred

  • Successful completion of a background check by Human Resources

PHYSICAL / TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Exerts 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or

  • Exerts 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or

  • Prolonged periods of working on a computer.

  • Sufficient vision to read printed material, see distant objects with clarity, and identify and distinguish objects.

  • Sufficient hearing to hear conversations in person and on the telephone, and hear sounds clearly up to 20 feet.

  • Ability to speak in an understandable voice with sufficient volume to be heard in normal conversation and on the telephone, and in addressing groups.

  • Requires occasional or frequent standing, walking, sitting, bending, and reaching for extended periods of time.

  • The job is performed under minimal temperature variations and is generally a hazard free environment.

  • Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the school and other facilities as needed.
