Coordinator of Multilingual Services

The Coordinator of Multilingual Services is responsible for developing, maintaining, and evaluating services and instructional programs.

• Manages Dual Language and English Language Learner programming and services

• Effectively supports community outreach through leadership of community groups

• Develops both short and long-term professional learning

• Alongside building and district administration, facilitates shared leadership of staff

• Collaborates with analogous positions in other districts in the service of shared learning, including serving as a district representative to consortium districts

• Leads staff in researching and recommending curricular resources to ensure best practices are ingrained in instructional practice

• Maintains records in accordance with district policies, the State of Illinois, and federal agencies

• Supports school administrators and staff in implementing school improvement plans

• Assists with evaluations of school personnel as needed

• Generates reports to stakeholders, including the board of education, district administrators, and the community at large

• Executes general responsibilities common to all administrative positions of the school district and completes special duties as assigned by the Superintendent of Schools and/or the Director of Teaching and Learning

Required Education and Experience:

• Master's Degree

• Professional Educator License with Administrative/Principal and ESL or Bilingual endorsements.

Work Environment:

The usual and customary methods of performing the job functions require the following physical demands: occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling, and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally, the job requires 20% sitting, 40% walking, and 40% standing. This job is performed in a generally clean and healthy environment.

Contract: 12 months
