Work as an integral member of the Housing Operations Unit in the Department of Residential Life, maintaining primary responsibility for managing and reporting data in the StarRez database that is used by Residential Life for student housing. Build student housing processes that interface with StarRez, as well as other departmental processes associated with opening and closing the residence halls each year. Create reports and other methods of analytics to support departmental assessment Support special events and student needs by working with other campus departments. Communicate with students and parents about housing processes and policies and provide periodic training to department staff. Report to the Associate Director of Housing Operations.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Bachelor's degree and 1-3 years related work experience.
Effective working knowledge of personal computers, Microsoft Office, and Internet tools.
Ability to work effectively with students and staff of diverse backgrounds.
Ability to work collaboratively with key stakeholders both internal and external to the department.
Desirable Qualifications
Experience using Banner, databases or housing management software, and reporting software such as StarRez, HMS, or other systems.
Strong administrative and communication skills.
Anticipated Pay Range $24 to $26.50/hr Other Information Special Conditions Bargaining unit position, External candidates must complete a 4-month probationary period, Occasional evening and/or weekends required (if non-exempt position, may result in overtime), A probationary period may be required for current UVM employees, Background Check required for this position FLSA Non-Exempt Union Position Yes, UVMSU ($20 minimum hourly rate)
