Centenary College of Louisiana invites applications for the Coordinator for Campus and Community Engagement. The Coordinator will implement collaborative and integrated programming with a combined focus on student success and community engagement. The Coordinator will promote service learning and community awareness by connecting students to learning opportunities that help define their values and professional goals.

Responsibilities of the Coordinator include:

  • Plans, promotes, and manages events and programming for the Learning Commons (a group of co-located academic resource offices).

  • Works collaboratively to create opportunities to build community on campus and promote academic success.

  • Identifies community partners for students to complete service-learning projects.

  • Works with faculty and staff to facilitate community engaged learning including assisting with student service-learning hours, projects, and/or sites.

  • Aids with management of the Learning Commons budget, facilities, and resources.

  • Helps promote the work of the Learning Commons on campus and in the community.

  • Maintains records, including business and financial records, student records, and program review and reports.

  • Assists in greeting visitors, students, faculty, and staff, as well as managing questions about Learning Commons programs and resources.

  • Teaches "Learning through Community" (TREK 153).

A Master's degree in a relevant field is preferred. In addition, preference will be given to candidates with experience with service-learning, campus engagement, and/or experiential learning and/or experience with a selective, residential liberal arts college. The successful candidate can begin immediately, but no later than August 2024.
