Description
The Coordinator of an Academic Area for the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology is a diverse and independent position that will provide support, expertise, and guidance in multiple areas. Independent judgment, initiative and time management skills are essential as the incumbent will work within many disciplines. They must be able to manage their efforts with the LSUHSC faculty and academic staff to manage and facilitate the many facets of the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology within LSUHSC-Shreveport. Special projects will be assigned to this position as well as the outlined duties. This individual will be expected to work independently and expeditiously to meet projected timelines.
This position assists with department purchasing needs, faculty credentialing, travel requests and other needs of the department.
Regular attendance is required to perform the functions of this position. Normal working hours are 8:00 to 4:30 pm, however, additional hours may be required. Incumbent will maintain a customer-oriented awareness in acknowledging and responding to needs as they occur to assure that customer satisfaction is met at all times.
Qualifications
The applicant must meet one of the following:
Associate's degree from an accredited university in business, education, or a related field with at least seven (7) years of professional post-graduate experience in a professional setting.
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in business or related field and five (5) years of professional experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Healthcare Administration or a related field.
Five (5) years or more of professional experience in an Academic Institution or a healthcare-related industry.
Demonstrated experience in management of digital marketing, website maintenance and social media.
