The marketing team at 1-800-Flowers.com has an opening for recent college graduates, advanced degree holders and service veterans. We are looking for strong candidates with consistent and strong levels of achievement in academics, internships and other college, graduate school or career activities to grow and develop our up-and-coming businesses. This is an entry-level role.

The position requires comfort with multi-tasking while maintaining a strong attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication and an ability to build relationships across internal and external audiences. We are also seeking someone who has a "can do" attitude and is used to data-driven analysis. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

This position will support the merchandising and marketing operations for the company's growth brands, including Personalization Universe and 0800Flowers.

Merchandising Operations (40%)

  • Monitor product performance and optimize daily collection layouts

  • Manage the end to end product creation process

  • Own product listings and product information across ecommerce platforms

  • Lead product development and coordinate floral samples with our procurement team to troubleshoot any product/ technical issues

  • Coordinate photo samples ensuring all items are to the studio on time for photo shoots

Marketing Operations (40%)

  • Support daily marketing operations by assisting in campaign setup and management

  • Monitor and adjust digital SEM, Display, Email, and SEO campaigns

  • Coordinate the production and approvals of marketing assets

  • Test and validate website changes and campaign assets

  • Assist in managing various day to day marketing team operations

  • Lead marketing efforts for company stores

Reporting (10%)

  • Extract and disseminate relevant data that positively impacts the quality of internal discussions and go to market decisions

  • Provide insights and recommendations that will help facilitate effective marketing, segmentation, and website testing strategies

  • Create and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly analytics reports to provide to various stakeholders including marketing, finance, merchandising, and senior executives

  • Analyze and interpret results of marketing and website tests

  • Present reports and analysis to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner

Stakeholder management (10%)

  • Attend all relevant internal meetings and develop sustainable relationships with key departments and leaders including IT, merchandising, finance, product management, legal, marketing, and corporate development

  • Attend all relevant external meetings and calls with vendors

Qualifications

  • College degree required

  • High analytical horsepower to drive strategic interpretation of digital activities and develop insights that positively impact the outcome

  • Advanced computer skills are required including MS Office Suite and the ability to learn and utilize internal applications

Top candidates will have a/an:

  • Strong proficiency in excel (e.g. pivot tables and advanced functions, macros a plus)
  • Understanding of how to analyze data to identify trends

The Vice President, Enterprise Digital Marketing will be responsible for the development and execution of digital marketing programs across our family of brands. This position will be focused on Paid Search, Shopping Engines, Display, Paid Social, Affiliate and Video advertising, which requires a deep knowledge of digital marketing platforms, ecosystems and capabilities, including an understanding of the evolving MarTech/AdTech landscape. The individual will be responsible for driving growth and innovation in digital marketing as well as achieving brands' sales and ROI objectives. Specific Responsibilities include: * Highly collaborative. Ability to work across teams with varied skill sets and geography. * Strong communication and presentation skills. * Paid Search planning, implementation, monitoring, optimization, testing, analysis, forecasting for our Gourmet Food brands. * Affiliate program management including planning, implementation, monitoring and analysis across our Flower and Food brands. * Display, Video and Paid Social program management including planning, direct execution, monitoring, testing and analysis. * Ability to partner with Senior Executives at our Floral and Food Brands to develop growth strategies and drive innovation. Includes collaboration to develop seasonal budgets and performance objectives. * Accountability to drive agreed upon Brand sales growth and ROI targets for digital marketing programs. * Manage and develop a team of digital marketing executives to drive desired results. * Manage agency relationships to assist in program strategy development and execution where appropriate. * Monitor and research industry trends related to digital marketing and its related ecosystems, in order to continually improve knowledge and skills, in order to provide thought leadership in this area. * Identify new digital advertising new sources of customer acquisition and profit via new partners, new strategies and emerging channels. * 10+ years of digital marketing experience, either in-house at a direct to consumer brand or digital agency. * 5+ years of paid search, affiliate and display channel expertise * Experience in other digital channels is a plus * Strong sense of Marketing analytics and how to derive actionable insights from complex data sources * Ability to partner with broad spectrum of staff, including Senior Management, brand-based marketing teams, Analytics, Creative, Finance, & Brand Strategy * Working knowledge of one or more of the analytics packages (i.e. Google Analytics). * Experience leading and managing teams to achieve online performance-based media objectives and across a variety of teams and organizations. * Exceptional oral and written communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally to get work completed is a key success factor. * Ability to multitask, handle pressure and meet deadlines in a fast paced entrepreneurial environment without a lot of direction or oversight. * Advanced computer skills are required * College degree required, MBA or equivalent a plus.
