About the role

We are currently looking for an E/I Maintenance Planner who will be based in our Kooragang Island facility near Newcastle, NSW, on a permanent full-time basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning weekly jobs (corrective and routine) and producing a weekly schedule by coordinating with all stakeholders.

What you will be doing

  • Coordinate with various vendors to get quotes and plan jobs in SAP.

  • Interact with others to discuss hazards associated with tasks.

  • Plan, schedule, and distribute the weekly schedule, including upcoming plant shutdowns.

  • Prepare work packs for upcoming plant shutdowns and incorporate those jobs into a weekly schedule.

  • Prepare work packs for the week ahead and distribute them to the team.

  • Run regular SAP reports and analyse data.

  • Implement improvements to the planning process and workshops.

  • Ensure that all contractors are inducted before bringing them onsite.

  • Ensure no statutory inspection is delayed or unplanned.

  • Total commitment to ensure the safety of all personnel on-site.

What you will bring

  • Experience in planning for multiple trades.

  • A safety-first philosophy in all aspects of your work.

  • Ability to identify and eliminate potential hazards to personnel and the environment.

  • Electrical/instrument trade backgrounds.

  • Excellent understanding of the SAP Plant Maintenance module.

  • Ability to communicate with key stakeholders.

  • 5-8 years' experience in a heavy/chemical industry.
