Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women & Children is Hawai'i's only maternity, newborn and pediatric specialty hospital. It is well recognized as Hawai'i's leader in the care of women, infants and children.

With 253 beds, the not-for-profit hospital delivers 6,000 babies a year, and is also a medical teaching and research facility. Specialty services for patients throughout Hawai'i and the Pacific Region include intensive care for infants and children, 24-hour emergency pediatric and adult care, critical care air transport and high-risk perinatal care. Over 1,400 employees and more than 700 physicians provide specialty care at Kapi'olani. The hospital is home to the Kapi'olani Women's Center and the Women's Cancer Center, and offers numerous community programs and services, such as specialty pediatric clinics, the Kapi'olani Child Protection Center and the Sex Abuse Treatment Center.

The Kapi'olani Child Life Services helps our young patients cope constructively with hospitalization and treatment processes since these can be a frightening and confusing experience for children and their families. The Child Life team of professionals aims to provide comprehensive care through special activities like medical play, preoperative tours and pre-procedural teaching to help children deal with their treatment and hospital stay.

As the Integrated Services Coordinator, you will provide a broad array of multidisciplinary and integrated health services to children and their families. Specifically, you will be responsible for coordinating, monitoring and maintaining the Healing Touch, Reiki and Infant Massage programs.

This includes working closely with the volunteer office and providing assistance with volunteer intake, orientation, training, annual competencies, scheduling, quarterly newsletters and maintenance of program statistics. We are looking for someone enthusiastic with excellent managerial and communications skills and a commitment to our vision of delivering the highest quality health care to Hawai'i's people.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Health or related field and/or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Level I Healing Touch practitioner. Private Healing Touch, Reiki, and/or Infant Massage Therapist with one (1) year experience.

Preferred Qualifications: Registered Nurse or other health care professional.

Knowledge of Complimentary Alternative Medicine (CAM) therapies and self-care practices. Professional holistic practitioner. Prior experience in interviewing, training, facilitating communication, and customer service.
