Works with various clients to ensure their daily receiving, shipping, and inventory expectations are met.
Reviews day-to-day operations, evaluates and recommends any improvements needed to be made.
Responsible for invoicing for services on timely basis.
Works closely with the Director of China Services to ensure all daily office operations tasks are completed accurately and on time.
Assists the Director of China Services with any special projects and maintain organized filing system for future reference.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develops, analyzes and implements procedures for tracking/tracing inbound and outbound shipments. Uses performance improvement techniques and principles to continually improve services for clients. Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records of all storage clients. Create and maintain SOP for each client.
Provides recommendations to the Director of China Services for improving processes and works within established guidelines for implementing agreed upon changes.
Plans and schedules appropriate modes of transportation based on daily needs. Schedules the appropriate service line (inbound and outbound) for the situation (across all modes and all trade lanes) to maintain a cost-effective balance between customer service and cost of shipment. Manage accurate inventory records for all storage clients.
Works closely with client's representative to ensure service satisfaction. Analyzes service failures/ issues and implements performance processes to enhance future service delivery.
Minimizes over, short and damaged issues affecting movement of client's product through transportation sequence.
Prepare, develop and provide regular and ad-hoc reports related to the operation of the client's shipping and receiving department. Maintain KPI worksheet for Global clients.
Access to transportation to travel between MIQ Chicago office and warehouse (approximately 10 miles).
Demonstrated ability to centralize data with respect to each global shipment and monitoring shipment visibility and inventory management,
Demonstrated analytical, business planning and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks from multiple locations.
Effective verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge and experience in PC Microsoft Word, Excel applications.
Demonstrate versatility and ability to learn quickly.
