One of the largest, most experience cardiac and thoracic surgery groups in the world, our Department of Cardiovascular Surgery offers virtually every type of cardiac surgery including elective or emergency surgery for heart valve disease, aortic aneurysm, coronary artery disease, arrhythmias, heart failure, Marfan syndrome and more. As a Coordinator II, you will be responsible for coordinating department project activities, developing department resource database to facilitate management of various projects and coordinating department scheduling of caregivers, resources and activities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collects, maintains and reports information for the department such as; patient information, budgets, employee PTO and schedules.

  • Assists with the coordination of various department activities by distributing reports, facilitating the analysis and reporting of information.

  • Functions as department liaison by coordinating various activities and providing customer support to internal and external customers.

  • Assists with performance evaluations, counseling and on-boarding of new employees.

  • Performs duties related to the preparation, implementation and analysis of special studies and projects.

  • Maintains office supplies and equipment.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED.

Certifications:

  • None required

Competencies (Complexity of Work):

  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Work Experience:

  • Minimum of three years experience coordinating and assisting with management functions and special projects; proficient with spreadsheets, word processing and database software.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods

  • Ability to operate a computer and other office and laboratory equipment

  • Ability to travel throughout the hospital system

  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Pay Range

Minimum hourly: $16.47

Maximum hourly: $23.61

A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate's work history, experience, skill set, and education.
