  • Provide hands-on support and technical assistance to reset center staff in managing students with behavioral and academic challenges, ensuring a conducive school environment and engaging student experiences.

  • Develop and deliver targeted training programs for reset center staff on effective behavioral and academic interventions tailored to meet the needs of at-risk students.

  • Design and implement SEL lessons aimed at promoting self-awareness, selfmanagement, social awareness, fostering healthy relationships, enhancing problem-solving skills, and encouraging responsible decision-making.

  • Conduct ongoing progress monitoring and data collection to assess and prioritize campuses requiring additional support and intervention strategies.

  • Conduct regular visits, monitoring, and observations of assigned reset centers to evaluate their effectiveness and utilization.

  • Maintain regular communication with the Student Engagement Executive Director, sharing insights and reports on observations from campus visits, program effectiveness, and utilization.

  • Participate actively in initiatives mandated by the Texas Behavior Support Initiative (SB 1196), including district-wide training on non-violent crisis intervention and the use of physical restraint when necessary.

  • Serve as a key liaison between the Student Engagement Department and campuses, facilitating the dissemination of best practices to support and optimize the reset center concept.

  • Coordinate with internal and external resources and partnerships to bolster positive student development initiatives.

  • Ensure effective communication with all stakeholders and district personnel as directed by the Student Engagement Executive Director, fostering alignment and support for student engagement initiatives.

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university required.

  • Valid Texas Teacher Certificate with required endorsements for subject and subject level assigned preferred.

  • Three years of experience working with high needs students or Education.

  • Strong understanding of social-emotional learning principles and effective behavioral intervention strategies.

  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate resources and partnerships to support student development.

  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting to inform decision-making and program improvements.

  • Knowledge of legislative requirements and professional standards impacting student behavior and engagement initiatives.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Competence in designing interventions to change inappropriate student behaviors.

  • Demonstrated skills in team building, problem-solving, and collaboration.

  • Effective communication skills, including a calm demeanor and a demonstrated ability to avoid conflict while remaining professional during a crisis or conflictual situation.

  • Time management, dependability, and punctuality as a demonstrated practice.
