Coordinate, schedule, and conduct professional development training sessions for district teachers and administrators on the uses of data including but not limited to, universal screening data, attendance data, discipline data, formative assessment data, State and national assessment data to identify areas of strength and weakness to support students through the MTSS framework and the (RTI) Response to Intervention process with specific focus on Reading/Language Arts, Language Acquisition, Language Proficiency, Mathematics, and Student Engagement.
Ensure the development, identification, and establishment of Tier II and Tier III reading, mathematics, language, and engagement interventions for campus implementation.
Ensure that all schools appropriately utilize Student Support Teams to determine tiered self-management support for students.
Provide professional development services to teachers, Campus Instructional Coaches, Instructional Lead Coaches, teacher leaders, administrators and other district instructional leaders in order to increase gains in student achievement and close achievement gaps.
Provide data analysis, professional development and ongoing support to principals, campus instructional coaches, instructional lead coaches, and executive directors within School Leadership.
Collect and organize documentation and data on services provided.
Assist with instructionally-focused campus visits to facilitate the implementation of the MTSS framework, services, and tools.
Work as a support and coach for MTSS interventionists on selected campuses.
Ensure researched based intervention plans are being implemented by MTSS interventionists on selected campuses and monitor progress.
Conduct regular campus visits to support and monitor the progress of MTSS interventionists.
Present strategies to connect districtwide tools such as the PowerSchool MTSS Intervention Module, My Data Portal, Unified Classrooms, and other assessments tools used in the district.
Coordinate the development of online training modules to provide teachers with intervention strategies and sample lessons.
Develop instructional resources to assist teachers in implementing interventions in the K-12 core content areas.
Develop and prepare training materials, such as PowerPoint presentations, instruction documents, presentation handouts, trainers' scripts, users' guides, video files, and screenshots.
Develop processes to document and progress monitor intervention plans used to improve student achievement.
Serve as a liaison, as needed, between School Leadership Division offices and other Teaching and Learning Division departments and the Language, Literacy, and Social Studies department in regard to professional development and support.
Work with the Teaching and Learning and School Leadership departments in assessing MTSS program effectiveness.
Support district initiatives through professional development on priority campuses, and District-level content and pedagogy training within the district.
Keep abreast of local and state policies related to curriculum, instruction, assessment, and accountability and disseminate information to appropriate personnel as needed.
Keep abreast of professional trends and developments related to the use of assessment data for instructional decision-making and use knowledge to update presentation materials and assist in updating MTSS products and services.
Interface with all appropriate departments to ensure appropriate coordination of MTSS.
Maintain supporting documentation associated with training sessions.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Perform all duties relating to the Title II grant at 100%.
All federally funded incumbents of this position must comply with time and effort reporting requirements through personnel activity reports or periodic certification, as appropriate.
Bachelor's degree (Master's Degree preferred) from an accredited university; with valid teaching certificate.
Five years of classroom teaching, administrative, and/or professional development experience in a multicultural setting.
Experience in a campus-based leadership or coordinating role.
Proficient in developing, organizing, and conducting effective professional development related to intervention support in reading/language arts, language acquisition, and language proficiency.
Ability to create and edit written communication in all forms, resulting in products that are technically precise, accurate, and readable.
Proven proficiency in technology, including the use of Microsoft Office and Google Apps tools and applications, PowerSchool, reading probes, web-based applications, and digital instructional tools for the classroom and professional development.
Proficient in the use of progress monitoring measurements.
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills required to achieve the goals of this position.
Experience creating virtual professional development and developing surveys.
