  • Assist School Leadership, Associate Superintendent, Executive Directors, and campus administrators to develop and implement of parent education initiatives on effective strategies to support student academic success and high school graduation for parents, community members, and campus staff.

  • Assist with resolution to concerns and issues brought forth by parents at assigned schools.

  • Provide School Leadership Executive Directors and Associate Superintendent with logs and regular updates regarding issues and resolutions.

  • Assist parents with initiating a Parent Portal account and other Parent Portal issues.

  • Collaborate with the assigned communications specialist to create communications/marketing outreach to parents, schools, and departments regarding district events.

  • Develop and provide training and workshops based on identified campus needs.

  • Provide support and continuous learning opportunities on Parent Portal, Uniform Assistance Program, professional development for district staff, and other programs to parents.

  • Contribute to the development of district plans to provide engagement opportunities to parents and the community and encourage meaningful participation in school governance and student advocacy.

  • Work collaboratively across School Leadership and with the OFCE on issues and projects.

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university.

  • Demonstrates strong written and oral language skills.

  • Demonstrates ability to work, communicate, and present with a diverse audience.

  • Demonstrates knowledge of the District and district systems and departments.

  • Demonstrates excellent computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Oracle Strategic and operational planning skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with a diverse community and the public at large.

  • Demonstrated excellent organizational skills.

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the development, implementation, and monitoring of family and community engagement programs.

  • Demonstrated competence in cross-cultural communication, training ability, and parent-school community partnerships.

  • Demonstrated ability to work successfully with parents of district students, as well as all levels of district employees.

  • Ability to use and learn various technology programs/platforms to enhance the functions and communication of family and community engagement content.
