SUMMARY

Coordinates the activities and functions of designated programs. Analyzes, evaluates and ensures that the goals and objectives for the program are accomplished according to established priorities, time and funding limitations or other specifications.

Coordinate and provide confidential receptionist, administrative, and communications support to the Governing Board and its Audit Committee; provides constituent service to the public and customer service and research for the Governing Board, district staff, and the public; supervises two board staff assistants; reports to the Board as a whole, directly when practical and indirectly through the Board president.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Eight (8) years of progressive experience administering or coordinating programs.

OR

Six years of experience administering or coordinating programs

AND

Associate's Degree.

Knowledge and ability to use word processing, database, and spreadsheet programs.

One (1) year of supervisory experience.

Knowledge of federal and state legislative requirements related to specific program.

Strong Verbal & written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions.

Four years of employment providing service or advocacy for customers or stakeholders or clients (examples include but are not limited to customer service, business or economic development, non-profit leadership, public relations, or legal services).

Experience in business office or other settings requiring record-keeping or research.

Competence with word processing and spreadsheet programs.

Must be willing and able to work extended hours.

Any combination of experience, training, or education.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree and Four years of experience

Supervisory experience in an office setting.

Experience in a school district setting.

Competence with database and web publishing programs.

Bilingual (Spanish/English) or some proficiency in Spanish.

Experience working with diverse student populations in an educational or volunteer setting.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE

FBI fingerprint background check (at employee's expense).

Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the assignment and record keeping of UITS infrastructure and facilities within our Pinnacle Telecommunications Management Information Systems (TMIS) database. The position also provides customer service support to both our Class Room Technologies & Telecommunications Services clients. This role provides support and training to University constituents to address information technology issues with hardware and software and may include technical support for University-owned or personal devices, as well as application support. The incumbant will act as liaison between customer and other technical units. The successful applicant will design, build, deliver, and maintain technology solutions that enhance research, learning, and operations. They will also provide expertise in technology strategy, policies, plans, architecture, deployment, and maintenance of the University's applications, systems, and hardware infrastructure for security and ongoing end user services. Duties & Responsibilities * Responsible for providing customer service support in order to address telephone and email inquiries for both Class Room Technologies (CTS) & Telecommunications (Telecom) Services. * Provides information to CTS and Telecom clients for cost effective and efficient configurations to meet specified user needs. * Maintains the Pinnacle – TMIS (Telecom Mgmt Info Sys) – cable database information for accuracy and associated manual logs. * Detects inconsistencies or errors in and between systems or logs. * Analyzes, researches, and corrects as needed while interacting with field technicians, switch room operations, estimating/engineering and vendors as needed. Includes maintaining information pertaining to the range or count of cables/pairs and points of origination and termination in relation to actual infrastructure (cable, plant, fiber, aeriel, etc…) within the Pinnacle TMIS system. * Reviews and recommends improvements to Telecommunications Customer Service policies and procedures. * Provides information to IT Services users and recommends the most cost effective and efficient configuration to meet specified user needs. * Compiles user requirements into service orders for installation, moves and changes; reviews work orders of other staff; submits orders to appropriate service vendor or agency. * Monitors all service requests through completion, resolving any discrepancies that may occur. * Receives, investigates and resolves all trouble reports and full range of user complaints concerning IT Services and/or equipment. * Coordinates the taking of physical and perpetual inventories of all university IT services equipment. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities * Knowledge of copper and fiber cable plant design and layout to include the reading and understanding of construction blue prints specific to telecommunications drawings (physical and AutoCAD). * Skill in using and knowledge of personal computer operations and functions (MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Google Suite, etc…).
