Title: Coordinator for Human Resources
Department: Human Resources
Reports to: Director of Human Resources
Evaluation: To be completed by the Director of Human Resources
Primary Function
The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Human Resources Director in developing and maintaining a personnel system, which ensures that the school district is staffed with excellent employees. This individual provides guidance, and support to the Human Resources Director for personnel matters.
Minimum Qualifications
Experience in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business Administration, Public Administration, Organizational Development, Communications or related field ?Minimum of 3-5 years successful administrative and leadership experience in the area of Human Resources and/or Labor Relations, public school experience preferred
Minimum of 3-5 yrs of teaching/education experience and administrative experience with licensure preferred
Experience with collective bargaining contract negotiation and maintenance
Excellence in communication skills, written and verbal with demonstrated attention to detail
Prior work experience with a public school district or other public sector employer preferred
Understanding the technology and its application to the human resource functions of a public school district
Experience managing a high-volume recruitment effort preferred
Access to vehicle for travel to school buildings as needed
Valid driver's license and vehicle insurance
Performance Responsibilities
Certify classification, placement, and salaries for all positions in the District
?Confer with Building Administrators, Directors, and Superintendent to determine needs for staff
Routinely prepares and posts job descriptions for position vacancies and maintains a repository of job descriptions for reference
Monitor certification/licensure requirements and renewals
Maintain a variety of internal personnel reports such as Seniority Reports, Scheduled Retirements, Recognition Data, etc.
Supports Superintendent Secretary with data for Staff Recognition Programs
Coordinate the Employee Assistance (EAP), Worker's Compensation (Company Nurse) and Exposure Control Programs
Prepare and distribute annual compensation notices
Prepare and distribute non-renewal and dismissal notices
Complete personnel reports required by the State and Federal Government (i.e. EEOC, IWAS Reports)
Oversee preparation and distribution of recruiting materials
Work with HR Staff to organize job fairs
Recommend and maintain relationships with contracted employment providers and employees to comply with state and district requirements
Manage the substitute placement process and computer system for district staff (substitute recruitment, training, Frontline/Aesop system)
Preparation of all administrator and first-year educator contracts
Administer compliance will all Leave types
Directs recruitment functions (e.g. application, hiring procedures, orientations, training) for the purpose of ensuring that selection procedures comply with applicable federal and state regulation
Prepare and maintain Unemployment Agency records and other required reports related to the administration of unemployment compensation claims and benefits.? Administer the necessary procedures, protests and policies required by IDES for Unemployment Claims
Responsible for all job offers and related new hire onboarding procedures, including fingerprinting all new hires and volunteers and managing the Proximity ID Badging System
Oversee requirements and procedures for District Volunteers
Serves as a system administrator to Monitor accuracy of data to the Human Resources Management Systems and applications (i.e. Frontline platforms, Skyward employee management tools)
Provide guidance and support to employees seeking with lane movements
Build and maintain effective relationships with district administrators, faculty, staff, and external partners
Represent the district at HR-related meetings, conferences, and events as advised by the Director of Human Resources
Provide support with employee benefits programs, ensuring compliance and efficient processing as directed
Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment that encourages professional growth and continuous improvement
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Human Resources

The employee shall be proficient with technological aspects of the position, including computing software and hardware, as well as video and camera equipment and software. The employee shall use board approved resources and technology. While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works in a building setting with children, works in outdoor weather conditions, and is subject to noises associated with both an educational environment and other settings such as the gymnasium, lunchroom, library, busses, traffic, construction sites, server rooms, and boiler rooms.
