Job Description:
The State University of New York at Old Westbury - School of Business seeks to hire a Coordinator for Accreditation and Community Partnerships. The Coordinator for Accreditation and Community Partnerships creates positive long-term relationships with business and industry representatives and performs accreditation related responsibilities. The incumbent supports and strengthens relationships with business and industry to create partnerships with the School of Business (SOB) to aid in student and program development. This position requires a high level of organizational and customer service skills. It demands a thorough knowledge and extensive experience base in the corporate, non-profit and government sectors.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Works collaboratively with the SOB leadership and SOB faculty to facilitate and manage Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) data reports, program approvals, and other assessment and accreditation processes.
Assists in developing and implementing appropriate policies and procedures to support and ensure compliance with AACSB accreditation standards.
Assists with the preparation of formal accreditation reporting and coordinates periodic accreditation visits.
Builds and maintains productive relationships with public-sector, private-sector and non-profit employers to create career pathways for future talent.
Builds and maintains strong partnerships with economic development entities, chamber organizations and other workforce development agencies to ensure alignment and execution of employment strategies.
Actively seeks additional funding opportunities to support workforce solutions and programming, including grants.
Cultivate relationships with SOB alumni to develop new opportunities and partnerships.
Collaborate with faculty and internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for corporate engagement and work-based learning experiences.
Contribute to department-wide strategies and initiatives as directed.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Dean of the School of Business.
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
A minimum of a Bachelor's degree (foreign equivalent or higher) from an accredited college or university.
Three (3) years of experience in career services, employer relations, or workforce development coordinating partnerships.
Demonstrated proficiency in working with MS Office.
Demonstrated experience in working with databases.
Experience in managing projects with firm deadlines.
Capacity for self-direction, ability to organize and set priorities.
Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing and to work in a team environment with members of the college community at all levels.
Ability to work with diverse individuals on a variety of issues and to support an inclusive environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree (foreign equivalent or higher) from an accredited college or university.
Four (4) years of experience in higher education or non-profit in career services, employer relations, or workforce development coordinating partnerships to include one (1) year in an analytical role. Analytic experience should include data extraction, data collection, data visualization and/or data analysis.
Experience with institutional effectiveness and outcomes assessment.
Experience with accreditation and higher education reporting systems a plus.
Additional Information:
Salary Range: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 commensurate with experience
