Works with department personnel and local fire agencies in scheduling and coordinating firefighter training programs.

Duties

1.Coordinates instructors, logistics, and documents for classes.

2.Inspects, tracks, and maintains equipment.

3.Meets with local agencies for needs assessment.

4.Orders and transports supplies for classes.

5.Contributes to the College Vision, Mission, Values, and RISE statement.

6.Supports workforce diversity in all its aspects.

7.Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements (Applicant must meet all of the minimum requirements)

1.High school diploma or its equivalent;

2.Three years of part-time or equivalent experience as certified and qualified NC OSFM instructor;

3.Three years of part-time or equivalent fire or rescue service experience;

4.NC Office of State Fire Marshal Level 1 or 2 Instructor;

5.Driver's License.

Preferred Qualifications

1.One year of part-time or equivalent experience as qualified live burn instructor NCOSFM.

2.Proficiency in a foreign language such as Spanish, an East Slavic language, and/or American Sign Language.
