Coordinator, Facilities, University Housing and Culinary Services

Basic Function:
Coordinate facilities related functions within University Housing and Culinary Services. Reports to designated supervisor.

Assist with coordination of daily work orders and scheduled work for University Housing and Culinary Services. Work with University Facilities Management to communicate needs, follow up on issues, and work order review.
Support project coordination and oversight.
Coordinate equipment needs, including monitoring of maintenance and repair, and preventative maintenance. Track and maintain equipment inventory. At times, investigate broken equipment, which may include exerting force or moving heavy objects.
Provide ongoing assessment of furnishings and equipment to make recommendations regarding the purchase of new inventory of products and/or refinishing, repairing items. When necessary, deliver inventory items (i.e. carpet squares, tools, maintenance repair parts) to the appropriate places and people.
Coordinate preventative maintenance and transitional periods including cleaning, painting, moving, refuse/recycling, and entomological service (pest control) needs.
Coordinate communication to students and staff regarding scheduled work.
Act as primary coordinator for facility related services including but not limited to laundry services, entomological services (pest control), furniture, building signage, and related areas.
Collaborate with departments across campus including but not limited to University Facilities Management, Environmental Health and Safety, academic colleges, Fire Prevention and Safety to support safety and student success.
Assist in the development and implementation of department policies and procedures.
Serve on assigned department, division, and University committees.
Perform related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business or a relevant field. Must be able to work nontraditional hours, including evenings and weekends as needed,
OR
A minimum of five year of full-time relevant professional experience in culinary/kitchen operations, housing operations, residential facilities. Must be able to work nontraditional hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Bachelor's degree in relevant field, such as construction management, business administration, or higher education. Professional work experience in college student housing or culinary services.
