Responsible for managing and monitoring the process of credentialing to assure compliance with the Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules and Regulations, Joint Commission standards, and other federal and state regulatory agencies. Responsible for providing administrative support to the Vice President of Medical Affairs.
Three (3) to five (5) years healthcare experience in a JCAHO accredited healthcare facility or other healthcare related practice, preferable in medical staff services department. Working knowledge of medical terminology and regulatory standards related to physicians and allied health professionals.
Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate professionally, both orally and in writing. Possess excellent organizational skills. Ability to working independently and under pressure, while subject to frequent interruptions.
Must work well as a member of a team. Handle confidential information with high degree of sensitivity and diplomacy. Must display a professional attitude and appearance at all times. Statistical, analytical and problem solving skills as well as computer skills, i.e. word processing, database, spreadsheets.
