What part will you play?
Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. seeks a Corporate Communications Coordinator for the WW Corp Comm & Public Affairs (CCPA) department. The position will report to the Director, Corporate Communications, Special Projects, & Events.
Assists two Directors with day-to-day office and administrative support, includes phones, scheduling, expense reports and travel as needed as well as general administrative support to the Corp Communications team as needed.
Serve as back-up/to Corporate Communications Administrator and other administrative support as required to ensure executive desks are always covered. Can include lunch coverage, as well as when staff is off desk for special events, meetings, etc.
Support Director, Corporate Communications as directed with special events, including media and VIP Tours, Make-a-Wish, executive events supported by CCPA team.
As directed by Director, Corp Communications, utilizes strong written skills to assist with drafting and maintaining various written materials, including Company Headlines, executive bios on BTS.com and WB.com, divisional one-sheets and press releases. Serve as back up on corporate information on internal and external company websites.
As directed, assists in monitoring newswires, Internet sources and print publications, looking for breaking news/coverage related to and of interest to Warner Media and WB.
Work with Director, Special Projects and Events and Corporate Communications staff to support screenings and other events on- and off-lot.
Maintain CCPA events calendar on a weekly basis.
May assist as needed with research, prepare and electronically distribute press breaks (daily News Summary) regarding Warner Bros. Entertainment and its subsidiaries (business stories, legal/legislative matters, product), as well as back up on relevant Warner Media breaks.
Fulfill various Warner Media requests for images, artwork and trailers; logos, charitable contribution donations, videos, etc. Compile and distribute award memos to Warner Media (Oscars, Emmys, Golden Globes, other industry awards).
Performs other related duties as assigned.
What do we require from you?
BA/BS degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or related field strongly preferred.
Minimum 1 -2 years previous secretarial/administrative support experience required.
Previous experience in a fast-paced environment strongly preferred.
Previous publicity and/or entertainment experience strongly preferred.
Must be very detail oriented as will be responsible for a large amount of written materials being circulated and posted on external websites.
Must have proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet functions.
Working knowledge of PhotoShop or Microsoft Photo Editor would be helpful in this position.
Must have knowledge of file set-up, maintenance, filing procedures, basic math, spelling, grammar, punctuation, English usage, and press release, report, and letter formats.
Must be extremely organized and possess ability to prioritize several varied responsibilities within a strict deadline-driven environment.
Strong computer aptitude preferred for content management tool use and uploading data and artwork to external websites.
Must have ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with executives, press contacts, vendors, filmmakers, talent, and other publicity personnel in person and on telephone.
Must have a good memory/good name recall.
Must be able to pay close attention to detail and understand written and oral instructions.
Must be able to organize and schedule work effectively.
Must be able to handle multiple tasks.
Must be able to work under pressure.
Must be quick both mentally and physically.
