Position Summary

The Coordinator Consumer Promotions is responsible for the execution of national and tactical revenue-driving promotions and initiatives that support the promotions strategy. The Coordinator will amplify campaigns through a mix of digital channels such as email, social media, website, app, paid search, display and others. The Coordinator is process-oriented and able to maintain a very high attention to detail when carrying out tasks and does so with speed. The Coordinator is comfortable working against deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Execute the sales promotions plan comprised of a mix of tactics to increase profitability, improve price perception and drive network and product awareness

  • Work cross-functionally with Market Planning, Revenue Management, Network Planning and CRM teams to gain market, consumer and competitive insights and translate into actionable plans

  • Think creatively and contribute ideas to address business needs

  • Fully own the sales promotion process with an ability to flex when changes arise and proactively identify and manage the impact of changes to the promotion

  • Develop promotional plans and timelines to ensure on time deliverables from stakeholders

  • Manage ongoing stakeholder communication including launch plans with Customer Support teams to ensure a seamless launch and customer experience

  • Identify and facilitate synergistic opportunities through the integration of TrueBlue and ancillary products including but not limited to Vacations, JetBlue Card, Mint, Even More Space, etc.

  • Thorough proofing of all digital assets and manage stakeholder approval process

  • Work closely with the Analyst Consumer Promotions to evaluate campaign results and execute test plans to optimize promotional effectiveness

  • Continuously identify process improvements that increase go-to-market speed

  • Seek out opportunity gaps and barriers in technology and resources that can further expand the promotional toolkit and develop business cases that highlight innovative solutions

  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Communication, or a related field

  • One (1) year of experience in Marketing, Promotions, Project Management, Communications or working at an advertising agency

  • Basic understanding of promotions, revenue management principles and marketing analytics

  • Must possess a strong sense of urgency with an ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously

  • Strong attention to detail and highly organized

  • Effective communication (written, verbal, presentation) and negotiation skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to motivate others

  • Must possess strong thought leadership and be able to think critically

  • Excellent at proofing written concepts and an ability to provide constructive feedback on visual creative concepts

  • Must be able to thrive and work cross-functionally in a dynamic, face-paced, matrix work environment

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite

  • Ability to work non-traditional hours as needed (nights/weekends)

  • In valid possession of travel documents with the ability to travel in and out of the United States

  • Pass a ten (10) year background check, and pre-employment drug

  • Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

  • Two (2) years of experience in Marketing, Promotions, Project Management, Communications or working at an advertising agency

  • Previous airline or travel sales promotions experience

  • Knowledge of consumer behavior as it relates to promotions

  • Experience working with design on the creative process and writing insightful briefs

  • Experience creating compelling and effective messaging across all marketing channels including digital, email, social media, display and paid search

Crewmember Expectations:

  • Regular attendance and punctuality

  • Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice

  • Well-groomed and able to maintain a professional appearance

  • When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

  • Organizational fit for the JetBlue culture, that is, exhibit the JetBlue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Passion and Fun

  • Promote JetBlue's #1 value of safety as a Safety Ambassador, supporting JetBlue's Safety Management System (SMS) components, Safety Policy and behavioral standards

  • Identify safety and/or security concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue's confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report(SAR))
